Where those pieces will be melted down, and built back up into a champagne flute of victory! Or a giant glass dildo for us all to choke on.
but we're gonna have 40mil in cap space and the best player in the whole wide WOOOOORLD, JAMES HARDEN! not to mention the most skilled player in the league according to taco bell durant or lebron will be in htown whether you like it or not. the real question is who will be left? i think its gonna look something like this terry / rookie harden / kj lebron / tmac harrel / brewer dorsey / hayes they can give the warriors a good ru
Are you named after ICP? Lets be honest, I did not read your text. Your answer to my question will help me decide whether I should or not :3
Predictions: Morey will use the 1st rounder he just acquired to use as a sweetener for someone to take Brewer off our hands, to give us enough cap space for 2 max players. Morey & Harden will get Durant to come here, with the pitch being we'll bring in Al Horford too and you get to pick your head coach. Sergio Llull, with his lower buyout and the full MLE available, will sign. Josh Smith will resign for the BAE. PG: Beverley/Llull SG: Harden/Ariza SF: Durant/Dekker PF: Smith/Harrell C: Horford/Capella Bench: Terry/McDaniels IMO, Harden/Durant/Horford is just as good as Wade/James/Bosh were. The only way Durant could do better is to sign with the Warriors, if he has no problem being a 4th wheel.
The Lakers are going to be the thorn in all plans this offseason. Kobe is gone, they'll have cap room and the pitch to players to start a new era with the Lakers.
This continues to be confirmed by deal after deal by Morey always trading away pieces before he has to pay them what they are worth. You can't win a chip by being cheap, sometimes you have role players that are being paid well. We never do, we will never win with this philosophy. DD
Maybe i'm missing something and this probably has been discussed before, but don't we have an extra 8 million in cap space since we're probably trading Brewer or Ariza away? (most likely Ariza since he is a valuable trade asset at 8 million cap hit). Wouldn't it be a waste to keep Ariza in the team at 3 if he's going to be coming off the bench for Durant?
Hah - yes, so we paid the WRONG players then....another sign of poor management - is being unable to recognize which players they should pay and signing ones they should not. DD
Cheap ownership? A few seasons ago, our 2nd highest paid player was Scola and he wasn't even on our roster. Plus, Morey's being smart. Unless you prefer a GM who just spends and gets his team tied up to unwanted long term contracts.
The sign of being an internet dolt is always being able to spin the facts to work as a criticism of someone you don't like.
I think it'll be a long shot but if there's one able to execute this is Morey. A lot of people talk about two max free agent signings for what Morey said yesterday, but for the pieces we have we may also be able to sign Durant for the max, and then execute a sign and trade. If Horford will decide to walk from Atlanta, i'm pretty sure they would gladly take something back from us. One thing i would like a lot is find a way to trade for Smart with our picks + fillers. Than just dump Brewer (from next year his contract will be ok with just one year left), Jones, KJ for whatever you can take, even a couple of good veterans with low salary in the spots we may need more help. Than try trade for Horford to take advantage of his cap holds. Sign Llull. Go after Durant. Resign Smith (nobody wants him anyway) and Jet if available. Capela Horford Smith Harrell Durant Ariza Dekker Harden Llull Smart Pat Jet In all this we'll still be able to find something decent/good as a backup 5 with the MLE and/or via sign & trade. Note: and we still have the rights to Gentile. (which may not come here but...)
