It's not an agenda, it's the obvious truth. I don't expect everyone to understand that but there's nothing I can do about it.

Yep if we had just stayed in the luxury tax level this year with our below .500 team then championship here we come.

So how is he traded to the Rockets and Philly?

I get people being sad about D-Mo leaving- he's a nice player and he comes across as a good person. What I don't get is people freaking out about Marcus Thornton. There's a reason we got him on a low contract in the first place.

As for the overall trade, they must question D-Mo's long term health.

It's the difference between having a chance and not having a chance. There's absolutely no reason to watch the Rockets now. They already weren't a fun team to watch and now we know that they have no intention of even trying to compete this year. The "best" they could do would be to sneak into the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed and be swept in the first round of the playoffs costing them their first round pick before watching Howard walk in FA and having no top tier FA's want to come here to play for a cheap owner.

WE sent one of our best seconds to dump Anthony. Not Detroit us.

What are you hypothesizing as the alternative?

DM can't make other GMs trade him the guys he wants.

And you certainly can't be coming to the above conclusion based on the move that was made.

The Rockets have just as much a shot of accomplishing absolutely nothing (!!) this year now as they did 2 hours ago.

That's what happens when your only goal is to save money, teams know it and they force you to pay them to dump your salary on them. Probably why no team would take garbage like Jones or Ariza off the Rockets' hands.

Not true, they made their team worse by trading away their only starting caliber PF and best bench scorer for nothing other than to get under the luxury.

Seriously don't understand. Stupid as all hell.

Trading a valuable asset in that 2nd round pick just to save some money this season. Unreal.

And I ask if we are in a supposedly "asset acquisition mode" as I have been told , then why trade a second rounder now?
When we couldnt' keep DMO and IF he got an offersheet pay the man?

For a **** first rounder that isn't even high, and then watch Dwight leave for nothing.
TO go after Durant with this crap roster?

I defended the trade at first, but with the new details it really sounds like a brutal tax-saving deal. Les seems to have completely given up on this season and now wants to saved money.
We gave up our 3rd best scorer and main shooter for no player in return, this season is horrible.

Probably couldn't afford to dump anyone else. Thornton and DMo were able to be traded and all they cared about was saving money.

Nor do late first rounders in crap drafts.

Solid CF overreaction about a crap first round pick that has minuscule chance to ever be 1/3 of the player that DMO is.

We have 3 open spots now that Joel Anthony is gone. JB will be forced to give minutes to rookies, Ty Lawson and KJ.

Is Morey doing this to force the coaching staff to play the team that he wants to be out there? In other words, is he hoping that extended minutes to these players will force team chemistry and development in time for playoffs?

Yeah but Mauri is a better 2nd round drafter than 1st round drafter

Just look at this past draft

Harrell who was able to contribute and ahs upside in the 2nd round compared to certified BUST Dekker in the 1st
