    yup.
Gores is very tired of not making the playoffs for 7 years and SVG has very small patience. That's why they are even considering trading now for Rhyno even if they have to give up a first. (even though they can get him in FA with the moves they did).

And as for Orlando yes they are extremely inpatient. That's why the owner demanded Skiles to be hired and they have been shopping everyone. And trying to get Teague now and almost got Milsap last summer.

If Vlade actually does get replaced by a GM who knows what they are doing & knows the cap that will never happen, but everyone can always see "Hey its the Kings".

But then again Vldade, as bad as he's been, "only" gave Koufas 7.7 million & Belinelli 6 million... So there is really no basis for just assuming that he will jump up to TWENTY million a year for a role player just because he paid a role playing center 7.7 million.

Point being - the numbers you are hearing WILL ONLY BE COMING FROM AGENTS. No GM in their right mind will actually make it public what they are willing to pay in February unless its someone like Durant that is an obvious max bid. Dwight will be a much more highly coveted free agent than Anderson and you will not hear a GM talking price. What you do hear is HIS AGENT saying he is a MAX player, and you hear teams coming out and trying to scoff publicly at that price. The fact that you don't hear teams really going out of their way to scoff at Anderson's price his agent keeps on promoting tells you he's probably not high priority to resign or else team's would be telling the league about his injury issues, and how his price is crazy at his age, role, how bad his defense is, etc.

Its crazy to think that we live in a sports media age where the more you hear negative things about a player probably means the more he is coveted. Its all a big double speak game.

Here's the thing with Horford and Howard.

Do you guys really believe with the way Atlanta plays they'll actually be better with Howard?

They're already a top 5 defensive team, and their offense will certainly suffer without Horford's ability to stretch the floor at the 5.

and Horford is more valuable than Howard. It's very easy to see Horford returning value at 35 with how he plays (solid defense, excellent pick/pop/roll player, 3 point range, great passing ability from high post)

Howard unless he adds to his game to evolve with how the NBA plays now, not so much.

Howard's got a choice right now between being just like Tim Duncan or just like Kobe Bryant. Take a little less to win more (Duncan) or take the max to win less (Kobe).

Dwight is 30. He isn't 35. He can contribute greatly. Everything he has done has been big. Scoring is down due to less shots .

Chris Broussard of ESPN on SportsCenter: "Dwight Howard, the Houston Rockets told him last week he could be traded before the deadline. Dwight, if he’s moved, would like to go to Atlanta Hawks, maybe Miami Heat."

What's Atlanta doing? They're not good enough to win as-is. Horford might walk at season's end. I see a business aspect to this. Throw the fans a bone. Bring Dwight home and hang your hat on something.

Remember he came into the league right out of high school and his game is predicated off of his athleticism. Tim Duncan was never a run and jump athlete like Howard has been. With his knees I'll be surprised if he gets a max contract.

Bud is also in his last year of contract right now, i've not red a single thing about that...is he going to stay or not? Does he still have the power to do whatever he wants? Not sure.

Dwight never developed a great offensive technique. His athleticism has always got him by. He is like the Roy Jones of basketball while Tim Duncan is like Bernard Hopkins (Boxing fans can relate, lol). Once Dwight slowed down, he's easily defeatable.

I still think he's currently a max player without question, but will he be 2 years from now is the question?

There will be no a trade for Howard until Cyber is going to report something. My impression is that the rockets are going to make some small trades to remove Jones and other role players first.
