I dont understand why nobody see value in Whiteside.

I understand that there are no bird right and in the summer, so we are in the same position to sign him like all the others teams with cap space.

But if Morey can lock him for a new contract now(under the table).
    I dont see the problem
He is 26 (like Hardem), can be a top 10 C in the league.

On the other side, lets see what we are giving
A 30 year old, bone to bone C, how want be resign for a max 5 years deal, with a 6 months contract with his bird right ( that have low value if you dont want to pay him the max)

The Heat hate Whiteside, Spoelstra, Wade, etc... He chases blocks, he's a low IQ guy, has a bad attitude, and gets suspended for doing dumb things.

He might figure it out, or he might punch a dude out on the court and get suspended for a year. He's a high-risk high-talent guy.

Yeah, there's not a deal to make with Miami. Not as the two primary teams anyways.

Both centers are expiring deals. You get bird rights with Dwight. Hassan, eating your cap space.

Houston isn't getting Winslow; Miami has no other assets to make it worthwhile for Houston. Pass on Dragic(long term deal/? fit), Deng/Birdman expiring, McBob on for another year(with player option).

    Incorrect.

Because Whiteside, as it stands now, is mostly empty stats. Good numbers, team performs better with him off the court.

Teague and Horford > Dragic and Whiteside... Why not just cut MIA out?

Yikes. Well there's good ideas then there's ideas like that.

He's simply not a good enough player to be as much of a headcase as he is. He might be good enough to be a bench player, but you don't put up with that kind of nonsense for that.

Yup. Would only do it if Winslows included.

I think it's reasonable to deduce that Dragic wasn't the best fit for Miami and that's why his numbers tanked compared to how he played in Phoenix.

I hope this won't be Ty Lawson part 2 because I would still prefer a true SG next to Harden over a hybrid like Dragic. Dragic really needs to improve his 3pt % for his trade to be worth it.

Based on this year, I would rather have Teague than Dragic. Teague is the FAR more cap friendly option as well.

    1) No bird rights. Each team on equal foot and we don't have as capspace as others to be comfortamble
    2) Doesn't play good defence. Does NOT PASS at historical levels. Stat stuffer that tries to block everything
    3) Serious anger and immaturity issues that aren't easily controllable even with a mentor and strong teammates presence.
    4) WIDELY rumoured (cyber also reaffirmed) that he may be heading to the big market of Lakers.

Dwight with his flaws IF he accepted a 20 per/5 contract has more trade value than Whiteside because you know what you getting and you also acquire his bird rights.

Have to flip Lawson for a big man, if this trade does go down.

Al Horford and Jeff Teague would be awesome. Addresses our weakest positions in the starting lineup. Considering the Win:Loss ratio with and without Dwight, I'd be ecstatic about this deal.

A different scenery will change all of that. Also, he was one of the Suns best go to players a year ago. Can shoot, handle the rock AND defend better than any of our current PF's.

How can ANYONE take this dude seriously? He has no credibility, no connection to any of these teams. He's just a speculating fan like us except he works in the media so people automatically assume he's telling the truth.

Total fabricated lie and it's devastatingly obvious. He's just a local puppet equivalent to Skip Bayless or Stephen A Smith.

Agree except the fact that we do not know a couple things..... how likely does Morey believe it is that he can spend Howard's money to get a player as good/better than Dragic? Has Le$ stepped in and said he wants Dragic? Is this a way for Morey to appease the owner?

Honestly Dragic's contract isn't that bad, and Howard for Dragic isn't really bad for the Rockets down the road.

Deuce posted the Stein article about rumours. THat's actually reliable.

Magic are open to offer Oladipo for Teague...and some want to believe this unreliable guy that Atlanta will trade Teague + Horford for Howard.

    Disagree quite a bit.

Four more years AND A player option, for a 30 year old. Thats about as bad as it gets. Everyone thought Lawson was a slam dunk, but it was awful. Suppose Dragic comes here and its a complete mismatch, what are you going to do with that Contract.

No connection, other than the fact that he's has been at Toyota Center for virtually every game for many years as a credentialed media member with extensive access to players, coaches and executives. Yeah, other than that, he's a speculating fan just like you.
