IHMO Hoyer BOB Offense Defense coordinators Smith Time to rebuild again Need to get a decent QB in the draft that should be a top priority
BOB...that guy is just a joke. He went into the draft two years ago with the number 1 pick and a big need at QB. Instead, he selects a LB with an injury history that has predictably kept him off the field here. He can't assemble a decent offense despite being an offensively minded HC.
BoB is stupid as ***, but he should stay. Just treat his like a b**** employee he his. Get a good general manager and that can assemble talent and force BoB to play who's good. Have a manager that has sole decision on personnel and assign tasks to BoB like the b**** employee he is.
O'Brien shouldn't be fired, but it's hard to remember a more moronic coaching effort than the one he put on display today. Truly clueless and arrogant on many levels.
Almost all the teams in the league could have used some help at those positions. A good QB takes care of, or at least masks, the TE, WR2 problems. RB carousel was solid the last half of the season. Not sure why it was mainly Blue and Grimes tonight. As far as OL depth and ILB...well, a lot of teams have a need at those positions. Point is, if we had a decent QB, we would have been a lot more competitive tonight. I don't think it's necessary to blow everything up and start over - especially since Indy, Jax and Tennessee have young franchise QBs already (so we'd be behind from the get go.)
Whoever called that Watt Wildcat play needs to go. If it was Godsey then get him the hell out of here. Hoyer has got to go. He has no business starting on a team with playoff aspirations. I'm not even sure one of his wins was against a team with a winning record this year. Yates and Weeden got us the biggest wins of the season. Need some help on the offensive side of the ball for sure.
I honestly don't think that Watt play was horrible. Do you honestly believe Blue has a better shot of getting in? I don't, so it was worth a try. The only issue I have with calling that play is that if Watt was already nursing nagging injuries then why put him out there?
Not sure why posters were so harsh on this play. It was something new. It was something unexpected. If it worked, TD! Yay! But since it didn't, it was 2nd and goal. It's not like it was the last play of a superbowl determining drive.
Everyone was happy during the Bengals game when they were busting out trick plays that worked and helped them move the ball down the field. This offense is so bad it needs to use trick plays in order to score points. This game it did not work.
