Hoyer has to start from here on out. Neither he nor Mallett are starting caliber quarterbacks, but at least Hoyer has shown something as a starter before in this league. The players responded to him today, as well. I still stand by my statement in that this can be a .500 team. Laugh all you want. Today was ugly. The turnovers did us in, mostly though. Unfortunately, just about nothing else I originally said holds true, aside from the fact that we won't get Goff.
If the schedule wasn't so easy, I'd say 5-6 at most. Atlanta is looking at possibly 9-0 with how easy their schedule is.
Wouldn't surprise me if the Texans lose to whoever is left on the schedule. I think Jacksonville is probably thinking the Texans game is an easy win for them. The problem with this team is that its bad in all aspects of the game. Not just one spot or another where other team strengths can cover the weakness. Texans are in clear contention for Goff. Cutler with the Bears gives them at least 6 wins or more. What was bob's opening line on Hard Knocks again?
I took a lot of heat for it. Figured I'd refresh people's memory on how bad the season started to where we are now. I just never planned on Mallett totally quitting on us.
So, I was wrong on Mallett. Substitute him with Hoyer, and then bite me. I spell redemption B-U-M-P. You guys thought I was crazy. This gem was like the fourth post in the thread. From late September: I will now read through the thread to make myself feel better.
Good thread; never backfired on us. It does suck we might miss out on Goff or lynch but trade ups are always possible
 That and Mallett were the only two things I was wrong on. The last two pages are the best to read. Made me laugh when someone said I was an idiot and someone else told me to "EAD".
