The point was that Lin is playing much more off the ball than he is on the ball in his role in Charlotte, especially when Walker and/or Batum is on the court...so comparing his statistical rank/place among players who primarily play PG isn't so revealing about how he's playing. It would certainly be interesting to see how many times Lin brings the ball up court compared to Walker, Batum and Lamb...my impression is that he does it less than Walker and Batum, but more than Lamb...but I didn't actually sit there and count, so I couldn't tell you what the actual numbers were.
