In fantasy world? Yes, because of age and health.

In real life, no, unless Howard demands a trade (which he never would) our organization would take a huge hit for dumping then only star to sign here in over a decade just after just 3 years.

Now would I not re-sign Howard this off season if we get a guarantee from Whiteside that he would sign?.... That's a different story.

No. I'd trade Howard for another position of need, like for a good power forward. And roll with Capela at center

Dwight Howard isn't even worth a bad of chips. We'd be lucky to get the corpse of Like Ridnour for him

Only if Maury is included in the deal and in return the Rockets get Pat Riley as well.

Dwight Howard + Daryl Maury for Hassan Whiteside and Pat Riley

No. I wouldnt. Not only the heat are better in defence with whiteside OFF the court, not only he cant play long because of fouls but also i dont trust him as a starting center for playoffs and i dont want to pay such a historically weak and temperamental minded man 20+ milliln dollars and see what happens. Its extremely risky.

If Whiteside can average 16+ and 10 and be a decent rim protector

    then hell yeah

If Whiteside turns into a superstar, yes.

    If not, no.

    If Alexis Texas, fap.

    Why must you troll?

No. If we were going to trade Dwight, we probably should have done it this past summer when Marc Gasol was available. But it turned out, Marc had plans of playing again in Memphis and hopefully unite with Big Brother for his swan song.

I really don't see any great big available that we can swap Dwight for. Also Capela is far from ready. This is essentially his rookie year. He was dealing with injuries last year and spent most of his time in the D league. When he was called up, he didn't really touch the floor until late.

We have to find a way to make Dwight a more effective under the rim player as he can't rely so much on his athleticism now. You would think the Rockets would have hired a full time shooting specialist to the staff to teach he and his compadres how to shoot. Maybe we can pay Marcus Thornton as a player coach to teach everyone on the team the art of the jumper.

I would make that trade. Whiteside is the better player . seems many here don't have league pass or ignore heat games . 7th in rebounds ,1st in blocks etc etc like Dwight his FT shooting is his downfall but overall his impact on the floor and health makes the trade worth it. He was once a rocket in the past but took him a couple of years to progress

I noticed Dwight's body language against the Wiz and he looked visibly upset & unhappy. For example, that play James threw up the alley and Dwight didn't even jump smh. My guess is Dwight's upset at playing in back to backs. Someone convinced him he shouldn't play in back to backs and now he's taken it as gold. The problem is the Rockets are paying you ALOT of $$$. Stop pouting Dwight

actually an interesting question. hassan has some maturity issues so i'll go with dwight.

just kidding. i'd still go with dwight, for this season at least. but as far as the next 5 years, it may very well be hassan.

Whiteside is terrible for anything basketball related, not counting fantasy leagues.

    Is this for real? Seriously?

Sometimes I wonder if people in clutchfans watch the rockets games. Like last year's playoffs, when he outplayed Deandre Jordan and torched Tyson Chandler and the Mavs. Or the playoffs the year before that, when he was far and away the best player on our team against the Blazers.
