May have gotten lucky against Michigan but were screwed against Nebraska.

Michigan State's best wins would be (current records in parenthesis):
    vs Oregon (8-3)
    vs Air Force (8-3)
    @ Michigan (9-2)
    @ OSU (10-1)
    vs PSU (7-4)
    neutral field Iowa (11-0)
    and a 1pt loss @ Nebraska (5-6)

OU would have the best resume in the BIG12 if they win and it be wins:
    @ Tennessee (7-4)
    vs WVU (6-4)
    @ Baylor (9-1)
    vs TCU (9-2)
    at Ok St (10-1)
and a 7pt loss to UT neutral field (4-6)

I don't think Michigan St would be left out.

I don't think Michigan State is that good, but they have the best resume of any 1-loss team.

They have a better resume than any of the Big 12 teams IMO. Shame Tennessee wasn't as good as expected and UT has been so bad. If the Big 12 is left out again... change has to come.

Oklahoma has by far the worst loss of any alleged playoff contender. Dumb they've jumped so many teams for beating a TCU team that is a shell of itself because of injuries.

This is a joke. Washington State who lost to an FCS school is one of the 20 best in the nation? Ok.

Can't believe I miss the BCS.

Cant really get mad about much when so many teams have holes. Not sure we even need 4 slots this year.

The committee has proven that 1 loss doesn't matter if that loss came early in the season and you beat enough good teams.

Same with Ohio State last year - they lost, at home, to a terrible VaTech team. I think the committee has shown the last two years that good wins are more important than bad losses. In general, I like it because it encourages scheduling better opponents.

I'm happy with this. OU and Notre Dame lose and Baylor is in.

Oh, I know. Just saying that's a dumb way to make the rankings. The whole season has to matter.

Of course. If you lose to good teams, that shouldn't be held against you too much. But losing to atrocious teams like Texas? That should matter, and the fact that it clearly doesn't is absurd.

It does matter - it just is less relevant than beating good teams. It's not like the committee is really out of step with consensus here. Sagarin is the most popular computer ranking system and doesn't care about names or conferences and has OU at #2 behind Clemson.

Oregon has been looking a lot better now.

But yeah I really don't think Mich St is that good.

Regardless, if they win the B1G, they will be in and nobody can really argue it.

Looks like the playoffs will be:
-Clemson (I think they will win out though beating UNC won't be easy)
-Alabama (assuming they win out which they should)
-B1G champ (Iowa or Mich St or Ohio St)
-OU or Notre Dame or Baylor or Stanford

If Notre Dame beats Stanford, I don't see the Big 12 getting in.

For sure, I see a team from the following 3 conferences getting in, as long as they have a team with fewer than 2 losses:

1.Big 10 (Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State)
    2.ACC (Clemson, North Carolina)
    3.SEC (Alabama, Florida)

If Notre Dame beats Stanford, they are definitely more worthy than OU. Notre Dame crushed UT. Their only loss was to Clemson. OU lost to Texas.

I am pulling for IOWA!!!!!!!! My second favorite team.

If OU beats #11 Ok St then they will not be jumped if Notre Dame beats #9 Stanford. There is just not enough of a difference between Stanford and Ok St. OU is in if they beat Ok St.

Go Ok State and Stanford!! Both are home games. This has set up nicely for Baylor.

Might be the case, but it's way wrong. Notre Dame's only loss is to the best team in the rankings right now and they smoked the team OU lost to. So OU getting in over Notre Dame will be a total joke.
