Glad I switched over to League pass "team pass" this season, it's been great for me so far. Sucks that I have to pay the premium cable package to get NBATV but for me it's worth it. I had a good two year run with Ballstream though, it served its purpose.
I don't know how you guys are getting bad feed. Mines is smooth. And has there been legit proof that ballstreams is going down?
So, they don't have "team pass" on DirecTV from what I see. I don't want to pay $199 for an "all team pass" as I just want to watch Rockets. If I do buy the $119 "team pass" option from the nba.com website, then I should have no problem watching it on my HDTV versus just my PC monitor...correct? Will it be HD quality? What are the options there? Use the TV IE app to pull it up? Or, stream over Chromecast? Or...?
How can I watch League Pass online here in Houston? Is there a way to bypass the local blackout rule?
you will need a VPN. they are another $5 per month. but note. only the live feed is blacked out. all the archived games are available to watch anytime
also, if you get a VPN in Europe, you can buy the Intl package which has no blackouts and all playoff games. That's what I'm doing. But I have a friend in Europe who set up the account, and I paid him back. I've heard they won't accept paypal for an intl account, so you might need a friend to purchase with an European credit card. check out reddit for more advice.
well, they admit they are not able to process payments. reading between the lines (and reddit with me in rhis) they lost their merchant acciunt for credi card processing. safe to assume thats because the nba went after the money trail to stop them and succeeded. if true, the banks are now afraid ti touch their illegal money. theyll have to find russian or chinese bank now, and they will rape them on transaction fees enjoy this season. i doubt there will be another one. the stakes are too high for the NBA also, there isnt a NFL equivalent of quality oirated streams like ballstreams. right? if not, probably because they proactively prevented it
Yes, the $119 option on nba.com is only available online. I have a PS4 and I have the NBA app so I can watch the games in full HD on my PS4 and it looks just like I'm watching it on regular TV. It's great.
Yeah... Seriously considering 120... Or maybe setting up slingbox at family member's home in Houston for root sports (or something similar).
I've been using the mobile site on my PS4 to watch on my flat screen and it has been awful. It seems like the website is still decent. I guess I'll just have to hook up my laptop next game I want to watch it.
Well I have cable here in Austin for the ESPN/tnt/nba tv games, but I was thinking with something for streaming (like slingbox or another device) from their house I could watch Root channel to watch the local games from Houston.
Ah, I got your question now on sling tv, I'm talking about older sling box used to stream tv when away from home. Like basically can get all channels you can watch at home on cable and stream to another device.
Why not hit up your cable provider, and get the $199 league pass in installments. You get TV version, broadband, and mobile all included with that. Plus all 30 teams.
Yeah, I was thinking of going LP, I just sometimes kind of miss watching pre/post-game analysis on houston channel, but definitely a possibility.
Good point. Yeah you'll miss pre and post game, but you'll definitely get the Root Sports feed via the nba league pass app (mobile, roku, chromecast, apple tv, xbox, ps4) and it's in great HD. Ballstreams "HD" is garbage in comparison. (I have both)
Okay, I live in Houston and do not have the option to have Root Sports. Can some tech savvy person give me a step by step way to watch the Rockets at home in great quality? I have Chromecast, but am open to suggestions! Thanks!
