Thibs: Would run Harden and D12 into the ground. Would not be down with sitting Howard on the second night of back to backs. Scott brooks: loves the clogged toilet offense. No thanks. JVG: hasn't coached since 2007. The leagues changed. How do we know he still has it? He seems happy in the booth.l Rick: probably too old and health concerns now. D antoni: his Knicks and lakers tenure overshadow the Suns tenure.
Coach K Thibs These two seemed to reach Harden during the olympics. Especially Thibs. I'm all for Thibs. We're already giving Harden 5000 minutes a game with McHale.
Thibs is the best established coach available, unless you want to take a gamble on a college coach or assistant coach.
Up and coming assistants: Tyron Lue Sam Cassell That Italian guy on the Spurs staff Darren Erman I'm always in favor of giving first shots to people. For the simple fact that if everybody wanted experienced guys only, we'd have the same retread coaches forever. That applies to life as well. How do you get a first job if people want only experience?
The problem with rookie coaches is that many of them end up as dumpster fires. We are in "contention" mode.
maybe running harden into the ground will make him too tired to party during losing streak and focus on nothing but basketball
There is a difference between a hand full of people wanting someone fired and thousands wanting someone fired, lol.
We are 0-3 we ain't winning the ring this year without some big changes. Cant remember the last time a team got blownout by 20 points three times to start a season and still won a ring. That would be amazing to see.
Or they can be like Steve Kerr and win a championship. Thibs first and only HC job was with the Bulls and he was good JVG was a 34 year old rookie HC and did well. I'll go out on a limb and say Donovon will be a great rookie HC with a team in contender mode.
wouldn't d'antoni be kind of perfect for the ideal rockets offense? not saying it's plausible or likely, but a thought.
