Great locker room guy. Him and Terry should get everyone in line. Hopefully he can help calm the nerves and settle everyone. We really need this guy right now.
I'm honestly open to anything to try and get this season on track. Furthermore, I'd do anything to curb the threads about firing McHale and ditching Morey-ball. The bed is made, sleep in it!
We'll see what Chuck can still bring on the floor, but I'm more optimistic than many of you. I'd rather have Chuck giving his all than Terrence "Never Gonna Get It" Jones looking lost out there....while in his fourth season, no less. Not saying one is more valuable than another, but maybe Chuck's professionalism will rub off on these young lunkheads.
Chuck just dress up in a suit and sit with the coaches. He shouldn't be playing any minutes. We want his leadership and veteran presence. Paying him vet him for his royalty to Houston. We might as well sign him as a coach after the season.

We need some veteran guys (including Terry) to get on to these guys
Part of the decision in waiving him---besides, "Can he still play?" and "Who's healthy?"---is if another move is made that slightly sheds us of salary, thus moving us away from that got-damn hardcap.
Chucks real value is in the development of Harrel and Capela. Imagine both of those youngsters with the knowledge of defensive angles and footwork Hayes can teach.
Welcome back, Chuck. Will the young guys listen to him though? He needs to play to show them his defense works. Good news after the rough start
