Houston's new theme park: Earth Quest Adventures

Are theme parks being built anywhere in the US other than areas that are already tourist destinations among other theme parks (like Orlando)?

 

There are others, but they are constantly closed.

Now that I think about it, No. Mostly in Europe, Asia and Persian Gulf. I wonder why that is. Landrys could do it, and I feel their portfolio of Kemah, Aquarium and Pleasure pier was grooming them to build something larger.

Construction of the trailer park has begun! Take THAT, all you haters in this thread who said it would never happen.

I've already booked my next family vacation there. The kids can hardly wait to spend a week in a trailer park located in the middle of nowhere. With wi-fi and cable TV!

It's also a completely separate project than the publicly funded Earthquest Adventures that this thread is about.

It's a privately funded project called Grand Texas in a completely different place with completely different people involved.

But whatever.

 

Like Jimi Hendrix owned All Along the Watchtower, Heath Ledger owned The Joker, Johnny Carson owned The Tonight Show...ima_drummer2k owns Earth Quest Adventures.

 

But they're really nice tents, sir. And that fee does support the Scenery & Wildlife fund.

PLANNED NEW CANEY THEME PARK SUFFERS SETBACKS, BUT STILL MOVING FORWARD

 

There need to be some rules for building a theme park in Houston:

• Tunnels
• Wi-Fi
• Clean restrooms

 

There is no way they are going to open a Waterpark in early summer of 2016. Wish they would be more realistic with their deadlines.

 

I won't trust any of this naysaying biased media until I get eyewitnessish reports from MadMax and Ima.

But I would like to add, all skepticism aside:

"I've developed projects from the ground up. But we actually had to go below the ground. We've had to put in drainage," said Galland.

This sounds like EXACTLY the kind of expert I would want building my massive water-themed funpark in the middle of a flood-prone clay-soiled swampland.

 

If it's Ima Hog or the Gaylord family...I'm listening.

 

We are getting a water park in Katy. It's actually under construction! And that one in Texas City is under construction too.

 

Then why is everyone trying to evacuate?

 

Do you know how much water is in a waterpark? What if it gets out?

 

They can just open sewer gates and the inner city have at it like they usually do. Katy is way more younger and important
