Why wouldn't you take an opponent seriously since it's the playoffs ??? Especially not having to make it out of the second round before, mind boggling Doc mind boggling

Says more about them to be honest. What kind of a playoff team doesn't take another playoff team, in the 2nd round, in the Western conference, as serious.
People wonder why Chris Paul has never gotten out the 2nd round, why Doc Rivers has blown two 3-1 series leads, why the Clippers will continue to be the Clippers.
Still doesnt take away the fact that was my favorite Houston sports moment in so long. Thank you Los Angeles Clippers for sucking. Sincerely, Clutch City

TBF, that account is probably run by a social media scrub and those rankings ARE a bit ridiculous

In their defense, the Clips pretty much owned the Rockets in the regular season. Tack on the fact that they just finished off the defending champs in the previous round there were a few valid reasons why Doc and the Clippers could feel confident going up 3-2 and playing at home in Game 6.

There's nothing wrong with what he said/felt because there's no reason to think more of Doc before or after his comments.

What he's probably more concerned about right now is how to, physically, get his players' collective balls to drop in the postseason. Bringing in Pierce was a smart move though he's not even their 4th or 5th best player so I don't know how much his voice will be heard by Paul, Griffin, and Jordan.

What we need to worry about is how our own team reacts this season as they are no longer the hunter but the hunted.

the best part by far is his b****ing about dwight

"the refs should have taken that defensive monster out of the paint for us so we could win at least one of the last 3 games in the series it's not fair!!"

Exactly, funny how it seems Doc thinks it's a good thing he didn't get his team to take the Rockets seriously. Is that supposed to make the Rockets feel bad or should make people put an asterisk next to the winner of the series? Just laughing really hard @ people admitting they didn't take their jobs seriously and acting like it was nothing to lose in semi-finals.

I actually had a lot of respect for Doc in the series, how he interacted with our players and fans when it came to hack a whoever and everything, but this is just being a sour puss. Loving it though, keep saying it was luck and all that. Hope it starts a rivalry, we do not respond at all and just let our game do the talking and beat them hard!!

So the Rockets were't good enough for them to get their attention but

They manage to sign both of our 2nd back up players @PG and PF positions

Anyhow... "...sshhhh..River, it's already over now..."

And the fact that the Clippers got beat without Beverly and DMO is utterly shameful LOL. They played a healthy Spurs team and won, but couldn't beat a team with two 38 year old PGs and a rookie backup center LOL.

Not really. I still think it just came down to the Clippers running out of gas in Game 6. Go back and look at the heavy minutes their starters had to play. Then look at who led the comeback for the Rockets. Jones late in the 3rd followed by Brewer and Smith in the 4th. 2 of those 3 guys came off the bench. The Clippers didn't have that luxury and had to rely heavily on their starting 5(and Crawford) that night. I recall Chris Paul had to be brought back in during the 4th quarter with over 10 minutes left because of the Rockets' rally. By the time the Rockets tied it up, you could tell the Clippers had nothing left in the tank.

Now I do think LA took us lightly in Game 5. They basically folded in the 2nd half, although in fairness, the Rockets did play their asses off that night. Harden got a triple double despite being really sick. But on the flip side, the Rockets took the Clippers lightly in Game 1 when they were without Chris Paul. It's human nature. Once Game 7 rolled around though, both teams played hard, but the Rockets had better depth(and home court) and that was ultimately the difference in the series. Doc just doesn't wanna admit that he f'ed up as GM last year and saddled his team with an 8 man rotation that included the likes of his son and Big Baby Davis.

It's really sad how coaches get blasted for playing player X or player Y or vague stuff like "not running set plays" and yet you can be considered an elite coach while not having your team prepare for the 2nd round of the playoffs which the team has never gone past before.

This tweet has nothing to do with the Rockets. It's about the Clippers predicted to be #6. Rockets could have been missing and the reaction would have been the same.

I have to agree putting the Pels above the Clips is crazy.

The Clippers are such frauds. Plain and simple.

I don't care if it's a team full of scrubs from the local YMCA. If that team forces a win-or-go-home Game 7, YOU TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. The Clippers lost because they don't have any backbone; not because they weren't focused. And who better to lead that cause than Chris Paul, the NBA's least accomplished major star.

Not this past regular season. The Rockets split the season series 2-2. And Dwight never suited up in any of those games.
