Why, why why why do we never get the benefit of the doubt. Call me a whiner, call me whatever, but this is historically true. The moving pick on Drexler, the out of bounds Finley strip, the hard fould on Nachbar, but whatever. I never have understood why Houston gets hated on.....

come on, someone has to agree with me, its been the same thing forever, bull**** calls that determine our fate, even though we won two championships they still put an asteriks next to it because Jordan wasn't there, **** this I am piping mad as hell. What the hell is so wrong with Houston, Tx. Its the best city in the damn world in my opinion, the best, been all over the world and nothing compares. WHY WHY WHY does everyone except Houstonians hate this city!!
Most peeps outside of Texas hate us.

Come on Kaizser, this isnt useless, you know this is true, how long have you been a Rockets fan, or better yet, how long have you been a Houston Sports fan, the same **** happens every year. No one, except us, and maybe China, wants to see the Rockets do good in the playoffs, it just doesnt create enough revenue for the NBA. Remember we were a Hell Hole, according to NY. We are the "minor" city according to any dallas **** head that has ever opened their gay mouth (don't want to offened Dallas Rockets Fans, you know what I mean).

Being a Houstonian and having lived in the SF Bay Area, Boston, Singapore and Minnesota I know that Houston gets a lot of crap.
I also agree with you that Houston sports teams have often gotten screwed by refs and disrespected by the media!
BUT I'm frankly getting sick of what I can only call loser talk.
I'm pissed as hell at the refs but in the pit of my stomach I'm pissed too that the ROx in the last three games have had several chances to win and haven't done it. Yes because the refs have screwed us but in games 3 and 4 we had the chance to bury the Mavs and not make the refs a factor and in this game if we just hit free throws, defend the outside shot and rebound we win even with the bad calls.
I'm a competitor and a coach and I've experienced some truly horrendous calls and have had horrendous calls made against my players. What I tell them is "yeah the refs blew it big time and I'm going to complain to them but you gotta play good enough so the refs can't decide the game for you."

Agreed my friend, but you gotta feel my anger, I have (as well as many others) have been through this **** for so long. That out of bounds call ranks up there with the moving pick as WORST CALLS IN ROCKETS HISTORY!

They hate us because they are jealous that we have both T-mac and Yao and JVG.

Of course it does but beyatchin about it isn't going to change things. We still got another game and if the Rox can make a few changes they could BLOW OUT THE MAVS to the point the refs couldn't change the game except through fraud so blatantly it would brind down the NBA.

I think they hate us all the same as other non NY or LA city.
If that makes any sense.

JVG is an average coach.
He changed his whole offensive coaching style, and thats what makes him a good coach right now. But saying he's great, ill let that one be deicided later.
Anyways, thats an argument for other threads at other times.

Cause you all masturbate too much.
Enough with these whiney threads. Stop acting like pathetic woe-is-me hayseeds.
The fact remains that we could have won any of the last three games had the Rox executed down the stretch but they did not. That is life.

The fact also remains that they executed well enough down the stretch to come back and win game 5 if even ONE of the calls down the stretch which cost us two points went our way. (If it's a one point game instead of three, Tmac can just jam the missed free throw back in and the game is over -- or make it and send it to overtime.)
Dallas has a talented basketball team (even if what little respect I once had for their German "superstar" has completely disappeared in the last week). We would have a hard enough time beating them 5-on-5. We STILL have a chance of beating them 5-on-8, but it isn't going to be easy. And it shouldn't have to be that way.
And you can't honestly tell me that the Finley out-of-bounds strip wasn't one of the worst calls you've seen in the entire 3-referee era! With three referees, one of them has an assigned job of watching the baseline. NOBODY who was actually watching the baseline could have possibly thought he was in bounds.

The officiating has def. sucked in my opinion in these last 3 games, but we should have been able to win anyway. How many free throws, lay-ups and wide open shots have we missed in these last 3 games? Answer - more than enough to win each game.

someone refresh my memory. When Houston Oilers lost to Bufalo and blew that 32 point lead. I think I remember a play when Warren Moon threw a pass right to a Buffalo defender and I was thinking who in the hell is he throwing the ball too but on the replay you can see a receiver dragging across but was takled by a linebacker. It may have been Givins. I don't have the game on tape and I may be wrong but that play sticks out in my mind as a play we got screwed on that led to the Buffalo snowball affect to come back and win.
