Here is hoping that Adam Everret get moved down from the leadoff spot.
If I tune in and see Adam at the helm........woe........

According to astros.mlb.com, there is a chance that Sheets won't pitch tonight as he is "under the weather".

We need two wins, but not sure it'll happen, but I believe the bats will liven up and the bullpen will be there...

How are we supposed to dominate Milwaukee without Wade Miller?!
He was good for like 8 wins a year against the Brewers!

I was just thinking about this. It was always nice when Wade would go against the Brewers.
WW sweep for the Stros.

Back to back homers by Everett and Biggio to start it off.
2-0 Astros.

hilarious, the astros can't get a hit off my sister most nights but put one of the studs from my fantasy team out on the mound and adam everett is golfing 0-2 curveballs for homers and biggio goes deep.
i didn't realize oswalt was going tonight so i can pretty much count on zero runs for sheets. i need a 2-2 tie after about 9 innings and then a stros win after sheets leaves.

Too funny, don't you just hate it when you make a comment like this only to see that same guy lead off with a shot into the crawford boxes?

one out triple for Mike Lamb.
Both batters this inning have really thumped the ball, we might be getting to Sheets today.
EDIT : Lane sends Lamb home with a double smacked off the wall. Three straight hard hit balls.

RBI double by Lane. I can't believe that ball stayed in the yard.

There's an alarming amount of play-by-play in this thread despite castor's warning!
Sorry, I just had to hate a little bit. Great performance by the Wizard.

SOMABITCH!
How did I not watch this game?! Damnit, it sounded like a doozy!
:( I thought they had the day off.
I kind of like some of the PBP, it's not like Basketball that takes a bazilion pages.
When I was in Saudi, one of my favorite things to do in the morning was read the posts (PBP) in the astros game threads, and then seeing the WHOO HOO's etc. cheers from the other posters. :)

A little update here and there is fine. So and so doubles, somebody just homered, type stuf is ok. THe pbp which i refer to was what occured in a few threads last year. We had people posting every pitch and every at bat. I don't have a problem with updates, especially for those who can't see the game but every pitch /and or every ab is way too much.
Uprising

Yeah, that's what I meant. I think at times I was one of those people that typed too much, in the form of PBP.
I'll try to cut down. I like the HR and doubles thing etc, and typing when we score.
It's almost better than a recap article those out of towners.

After last night's game, Everett now has a higher batting average than Renteria and is only 25 points behind Orlando Cabrera.

That it's much too early in the season to count a player or team out.

I am sure no one ruled him out (the law of averages always kicks in eventually). We all love Adam (at least I know I do) but my problem is his batting slot. I feel it does him more un-good [sic] than good.
We have a prototype leadoff guy in Willie - lets use him as such.
Watching the Cubs vs Cards game now. The Lizard mind boggingly slotted Lee (the hottest Cub) in the 6th slot.....6th slot for crying out loud. And now it looks like the Cubs will lose in large part because of that.
You know baseball enough to agree that nuanses like that can throw your team out of grove and cost your team runs/timely hits.
Everett will be perfect for us in the 7th slot and Willie in the 1st. Lets ride the hot hand and a more suited leadoff guy. Willie is ready to leadoff.

I am really really really liking that centerfielder we have out there. It's actually fun watching this team when they are able to hit and run.

Apparently AE has a "mild hamstring strain". Couldn't be caused by too much time on the basepaths, could it?
Taveras is a dynamo. Speed kills. He hits a ball into the gap and it's a triple, it's awesome.
Burke has performed decently well when he's been in. Being a LF/2B might make him a useful guy until his time comes.
Lane has been great, and Ensberg will fill his role fine when Berkman comes back.
FWIW, Humberto Quintero is hitting .318 with 10 RBI, 2 HR and 3 2B in 14 AAA games.

Wow. That was quite unexpected.
(Leadoff hitter hits a 3run jack on Lidge).
I guess he just wanted to add some drama to his K.
Talk about your fluke hr off of Lidge.
Thank god we won,I almost pissed myself :(

Lidge got the save regardless. lol
That was a scary way to end it on a chokish note.

I was at the game tonight and the two pitches previous to the bomb looked like borderline calls on the inside corner.
But then again, I was sitting in the centerfield mezzanine, so what do I know?

Damn, Lidge is human!
Oh well, the closer gives up a 3 run bomb and the Stros still win. Count your blessings and move on.
