View Full Version : Is Bush the radical, or is it the men behind him ?

Am I wrong to believe that George Bush may be more moderate this time around ? Is it possible that he has learned from his mistakes, and will seek out dissenting opinions ?
I think the first signs of this could come when we see the new cabinet. If Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Ashcroft are still around, than it's back to business as usual. If not, then it could be a better four years.

He will keep the guys that got him elected, same ole story, he feels that the election vindicated what he is doing, and that the American people are behind him.
If anything I see him getting more partisan in this term, as he has nothing to lose.

DaDakota is assessing the situation correctly, I think.

drudge is reporting that ashcroft may be on his way out, very surprising. wouldn't be suprised if rummy didn't return, though.

OH MAN...
I would love Ashcroft and Rumsfeld to be outsted, they were 2 of the main reasons I voted for Kerry.

All these "mandate" talks after Bush's victory seem to indicate that the adiministration will continue their policy of giving the finger to all their critics.

RocketRiver, what is your beef with Pickering? Yes the liberals have *accused* him of racism, but those claims are empty. Read this article:

If Ashcroft leaves it will be because he brought it up. In his timing in other words... NOT an ousting.

It will be using health as an excuse to split before getting ousted.
Just like Rudy T.

...exactly, and add a Wolfowitz to the trash bin and subtract a Powell and I would be quite pleased. Nothing can be done about Cheney though...what a disappointment he is.
