...that the Braves are giving a pair of tickets away for Game 2 to ANYONE who buys a pair of tickets today for Game 1??????? That is unreal...what a horrible sports town. They have always been bad but i didn't think it was that hard to get people to the playoff games there.

The Braves have a hard time selling tix all the time. In the past they couldn't even sell out the NLCS. I guess fans are spoiled from World Series appearances I guess.

Man Atlanta is a sorry sports town. Your team wins 96 ball games and the stadium was half empty. Seem like there were more Astros fans than Braves fans at the game.

Even the commentators mentioned that it's rarely a sell out for the Braves. I mean 13 consecutive years they have won there division and they can't even sell out....i guess it just carries over from all those years they were so bad.

Did you happen to hear the Atlanta Braves fan on with John and Lance this morning. Apparently he'll be at Saturday's game at Minute Maid and he said that as an Atlanta Braves fan he was entitled to perks. He said that he would go straight to the front of the concession line; and that's how it was gonna be. I'm sure he was just doing the typical "Almu" trash talking but i thought it was pretty damn funny.

Why is it so popular to make fun of NASCAR? I'm a NASCAR fan, and I am quite annoyed when things like these are said.

Not complimenting the Braves fans though, they suck.:)

I'm not sure a Rockets fan board is the place to make fun of other teams' attendance. Our attendance at the Toyota Center wasn't all that great.

Go Astros.

I thought that place seemed kind of lifeless, (not just because we were kicking their arses) but it was easy to hear all the Astros fans there.

'Cause NASCAR is for rednecks and idiots that are entertained by people driving their Chevy in circles. ;) :D

i'm thinking their success works against them. the playoffs are passe to them. they're ho-hum. to get to the playoffs 12 times and have one championship to show for it might put downward pressure on attendance in a lot of cities.

but this promotion is pitiful. say what you want about rockets' attendance, but those are for meaningless NBA regular season games in a league where everyone and their dog makes the playoffs. 2-for promotions for the MLB playoffs is unheard of.

Maybe, just maybe they are tired of being dissappointed year after year.

Last season when the Cubs eliminated the Braves in Atlanta the crowd was super dead the entire game. The only fans that seemed excited were those "Sheff's Chefs" for Gary Sheffield.
