“I am extremely surprised that this man’s wife did now allow Miss Jordan to save his life,” said Mehta. “If another minute had gone by, he would surely be dead. In my country, this mad woman would have her hands cut off and her vagina sewn shut.”

AWESOME!:D :D

Of all the things she's done, you're talking about how it's weird she has a website?

Check out this picture on her website - it looks like her husband going insane. Somebody get me help! (http://www.jackiechristie.com/mens.html)

That website is chock-full of unintentional humor. Some of the clothes are pretty bad too.

I never understand why so many fans find Christie's marriage so personally offensive. It's his thing; he seems to like it just fine; why not just leave it be?

That Web Site is actually pretty funny for those that didn't check out the rest of it.

Same reason why some people find homosexuals offensive. ;)

I think most people would leave it alone if Jackie Christie wasn't going around getting female members of the team staff and female journalists fired for talking to her husband (i.e. doing their job).

I don't know if so many people find it offensive as much as they find it hilariously tragic.

Exactly - it's a train wreck. Doug Christie seems to need to have his man card confiscated permanently, we're just trying to drum up support.

To illustrate the importance of this effort, I can only tell you that Details magazine ran an article this month about the joys of being whipped - why your wife or girlfriend controlling your life is a good thing. To make it worse, the author tries to go on and say that it's even becoming cool to say that you're whipped - like "my girlfriend is so smoking hot that I don't mind her controlling me!".

Saying this is just showing an appalling lack of understanding of Ladder Theory (http://www.laddertheory.com). Look, if you have to work that hard showing your devotion and love for her to keep you around, then obviously you aren't high enough on her ladder and eventually she's going to dump you for someone better. As a matter of fact, trying too hard will usually prove to her that you don't deserve to be with her.

Actually, my problem is with her. If she trusts him so little (her behaviour certainly suggests she doesn't trust him at all), then why on earth is she married to him?

Well, to make the story complete, Doug Christie did cheat on his wife and got caught. I don't agree with his wife's attitude, but I think there is a reason for all this crazy control by his wife.

when did that happen? she needs to realize that if it can happen again,it will,he wil find a way,and her short leash will probably drive him to another gal the minute she is not around, does she go to practice? i can see it now at a club in sac, bibby, peja, cwebb, doug and his wife atached at the hip, how annoying.

So I just took a look at her web site...under the media section, they have a freaking list of questions reporters are supposed to ask her during interviews. They are in a certain order and seem to pick up on her answer to a previous question. It's a freaking script.

By the way, the rumor about her not letting her husband talk to female staff members is 100% true. I have a friend who worked for the Kings a while back. She made the mistake of calling Doug's cel phone to let him know a time change for a flight. Sadly, Jackie was with him and got super pissy yelling at him about cheating on her. She's got serious trust & self-esteem issues.
