Ehhhh I dunno 'bout that one. :/
I can't stand that song, one of the most annoying overplayed songs ever. (Who Let the Dogs Out)

Wait, I thought his nickname is Dalgy???
BTW, I got a cool screensaver for my phone. The exit sign for Oswalt Rd. off I-35 in Oklahoma. It'll replace my Championship Banner one after we win it all in June! :)

Thats the look the intros for the broadcasts of each Astros games will have. It will be animated, looking just like that. I saw some of the video, I'm not sure exactly what they're going to use but it was really cool. Not just the usual highlight video.

Man, what a bad thread.
The nickname Doggy is short for Hidalgo. It doesn't make sense from an English teacher perspective, but it doesn't have to. It's English.
For the record, I don't know if Richard Hidalgo has any opinion whatsoever about "Who Let the Dogs Out." Last year he also came to bat to DMX's "Where my Dog's at?" and "Bark wit me" by Bow Wow (at the time of that recording, still "Li'l Bow Wow"), so if he has an affinity to "Who Let the Dogs Out," it's strictly because it has his nickname in it.
ugh.
In other "songs guys come to bat to" news Craig Biggio will probably be using U2's "Mysterious Ways" again this year, which means, that in the time he's been coming to bat with that song, it has gone from pop radio to "classic rock" radio.

Yeah, I'll believe a HOF broadcaster over a scrub pitcher any day of the week. Quite possibly twice on Sundays.

A semi-senile one who can't pronounce people's names properly? He probably couldn't figure out how to say "Dalgy" and just simplified it to Doggy... and then conned people like yourself into believing it was the correct pronounication. :D

Nope, I'm merely dalging him. Big difference! :D
Major, I don't know what you're talking about. Next, you'll be telling me that it's Rafael Palmiero, not Raifual Palierimistaio. Milo must've been relieved when Robertson was traded. :D

I still like Pettite and Clemens' billboard alot better. I do like how they are doing the cartoon drawings since last year.

Pretty neat billboards. I love the new ads in the Houston Chronicle and billboards across Houston.

:D Funny, but COLD considering he's done so much for the organization. Good luck to Bidge this year.

Clear Channel is 'We' to you? How much of that cash do you see?
(Yes, I know you work for 610.)

I think the Astros should have a policy that forbids the signing of players who have last names that can be shortened into dumbass pseudo-nicknames (DPNs).
Their recent transactions have been good. They traded one DPN(Wags), and the player they got in return doesn't appear to have any DPN possibilities, though I wouldn't put it past Milo Hamilton to use the word "Ducky" a few times in reference to Kevin Duckworth.
Kent - already a short last name, so "Kenty" wouldn't make much sense.
Pettitte - Petty? Nah, that would make Astros games sound either like a classic rock station (Tom) or NASCAR radio (Richard)
Clemens - Clemmy? Not a chance
A couple years ago, it seemed like every person on the team had a DPN. The trend is slowly but surely disappearing. Once Bagwell and Biggio retire, hopefully the dumbass pseudo-nickname era will be gone forever...

I'll bet PETA will have something to say about that billboard.

DUCKWORTH: Excuse me. Can I talk to you for a second there, Octavio?
DOTEL: It's "Ducky".
DUCKWORTH: The thing is...I'm supposed to be "Ducky".
DOTEL: Heh heh. You're not a "Ducky". You're a perfect Brandon.
DUCKWORTH: What? Now, you listen to me!
DOTEL: All right, you can have "Ducky". Stop crying.
DUCKWORTH (sniffling): I'm not crying. And I shouldn't have said that about your wife. Please accept my apologies.
