New uniforms: the verdict after 3/4 of a season?

The new uniforms have really grown on me. They are distinctive and stand out without being obnoxious. I cringe everytime I see Yao's rookie year highlights in the pajamas.

They beat the hell out of the pinstriped Jetson's suits. Those things were about as tasteful as a Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas.

They're a huge improvement. Not what I would have picked, but vastly better than the PJ's. I still wish the numbers on the front were easier to read, but I guess I'm getting used to it.

Other than the letters being too small and the road jerseys saying "Rockets" instead of "Houston", I've got no complaints. They're exactly what was needed after eight seasons in those cursed blue pajamas.

I don't think there was as much backlash about the jerseys as opposed to the logo. Regardless, I'm happy with both.

I saw these basketball shorts by the Rockets jerseys the other day. The shorts were red with black and grey on the side. They looked really sweet...I really hope the Rockets mix in some black with the color scheme in the future..

I've always liked the unis. Bright, bold and not too fancy. The logo is the thing that has really grown on me. It looks great on the side of the uni shorts and on baseball hats. I REALLy started to like it when I was at a game and the video screens kept showing this screensaver like thing where a ball on fire flys by and the smoke creates the "R" logo. Sweet!

P.S. We have THE best looking dancers in the league. Hands down! And their unis make them look that much better.

I still dont like the size of the numbers....sometimes it is hard to tell the 3 and the 5 apart on a small tv screen.

I love love love the road unis...the Rockets Red is simply awesome looking.
Not so much on the white...especiaklly with the light colored wood of the floor...it doesnt look so good on my tv...I imagine it might look better live..Ill find out soon when I actually get to go see a game.

The Powerdancers unis look awwesome also...skimpy and classy all at the same time. They make even the plain looking dancers look pretty good.

I liked the unis from the start...but I have actually grown to love em now.

I think the logo is very simplistic, maybe too simplistic. The colors have gorwn on me over the course of the season though. Now if we can just put a contract out on Clutch the Bear's head.

What's funny about putting the two uniforms next to each other is that the Red one actually looks like a SPORTS JERSEY. The old ones....well, not sure what they look like....CLOWN OUTFIT, PJs, TABLE CLOTH at CHUCKY-CHEESE, CURTAINS?

Type should be bigger. Houston on front, not Rockets. I like the shiny. I like the red, white and silver. I don't like the silver curve accents on guys. They do look great on the power dancer's butts; but I don't want to check another guy's butt. Roll with seperate male/female versions, please. Lose the silver rings and just put silver piping on the sleeves and side of the short. An asymetrical v-neckand shirttail hem would be cool, too. In general, piping is cooler than block accent color stripes.

I love them now. Whenever they show clips of Yao or Francis from last season in the old Unis I cringe. The new ones are so much better, the more they wear them the more I love them.

I love the new unis. But then again, I didn't hate the old unis nearly as much as everyone else here. The strangest thing about the old jerseys was how the pinstripes were crooked at th bottom. Does anyone know why they did this?

All of this uni talk is going to make me put on my Nike Swingman Yao jersey when I go to class tomorrow...
