i like mr. walker and all but he is old and his best playing days are long behind him, this is a mistake to sign him to a long term deal...good thing contracts aren't guarenteed in football like in baseball.

This is great news for the Texans. Gary Walker is the staple in this very young defensive line, and resinging him is good for the make-up of the team as well as team chemistry.

i'd say getting back a healthy seth payne and gary walker qualify as giving that d-line help.

Agreed. Seth Payne is arguably one of the top three nose tackles in the league.
