Good news, Rodrigo
Righthander Rodrigo Rosario, who is on the disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis, received some good news Tuesday when team doctors read the results from the magnetic resonance imaging exam he had Monday.
"They said I have a mild case of inflammation in the rotator cuff," he said. "It's not too serious.
"They said I should just rest and work on the shoulder until the inflammation goes away. They said the inflammation will work its way out in about two weeks.
"This is good, because I just wanted to know what I had. It was tight, and it hurt a lot, but now I know what I have. It's not a tear. It's inflammation."
General manager Gerry Hunsicker also was pleased with the diagnosis.
"There's really nothing serious going on in there," Hunsicker said. "It was normal wear and tear that you'd expect with a pitcher. We just want to get him healthy. We need every arm we can get at this point."
