Well lets see if we can get back on track and win the Silver Boot.

Pitching Probables:

6-27 -- Benoit (2-3, 5.21) vs, Rosario (1-0, 1.50)

6-28 -- Mounce (0-1, 3.60) vs. Robertson (5-3, 5.72)

6-29 -- Ramos (1-1, 5.59) vs. Villone (0-0, 1.46)

Fearless Prediction- After receiving the Silver Boot trophy, Drayton McLane will promptly try to trade it for another starter and some cash.

hmm...what was wrong with my thread?;) It's like 4 down the list.
Anyways, let's hope the Rangers can do their duty and get our Astros back on track...

Aaaaahhhhhhhh.... just what the doctor ordered: A three game set with the worst pitching in baseball. Thank god!

The Stros' are hurting right now and its a good thing we play the Rangers...

Although, I only expect us to win 2 of 3...

Big Rice Owl influence this weekend at MMP. Before today's game there is a pre-game ceremony honoring the 2003 National Champion Rice Owl baseball team, and then tomorrow former Rice Owl pitcher Mario Ramos is starting for the Rangers. Plus I think one of the Astros outfielders used to play for Rice :D ....

Go Owls, Go 'Stros!!!

What the hell????? Jeriome Robertson pitched 6 shutout innings today. What parallel dimension did I get warped to???

fatman510
06-28-2003, 06:50 PM
Stros win 2-0
Win: Robertson (6-3)
Hold: Lidge (11)
Hold: Dotel (17)
Save: Wagner (22)

Loss: Mounce (0-2)

Robertson had a great outing and Lidge finally got it back together.
Good game, but I wish the offense would produce more

Robertson is 4-0 with a 3.7 ERA or so in his last 7 starts. The guy has been pitching solidly for quite some time now. He just has difficulty going deep in games, and he has difficulty getting any run support (like today for example).

Great game, and well pitched. I fell asleep around the 4th inning and awoke to the sound of the radio guy yelling as Wagner won the game. :D

If you are listening to the game through KTRH live audio feed...
Did anyone else suddenly lose the feed after the first pitch or so? I can't get it to come through anymore, i hope its my computer and not ktrh.com's feed, meaning they have now got it to stop playing during astros games... :(

Uprising

man...we lose at home to the rangers....ugh. We need to win a series... THank god for that winning streak we had to bring us up to the top of the division with the cards and cubs, otherwise we would be going no where, the teams are all playing the same.

wins are more important: The Houston Astros may have won the Silver Boot, but that brought them little solace in the wake of an 8-5 loss to the Texas Rangers on Sunday that closed out the Lone Star Series in front of 38,704 fans at Minute Maid Park.
