For anyone interested, the Rockets apparently will be attending the Summer Pro League (although I don't have anything official stating this). For a while, the official SPL site didn't have the Rockets listed as one of the teams participating this summer, but apparently in the last week or so they've been added as a participant.

It's out in Long Beach, Ca. on the Long Beach State campus.

No telling who all they'll have out there competing this year, but I'm praying I see Eddie Griffin with about 20 lbs more muscle on him to at least give me hope of a frontline with some nasty. Or maybe we won't see Eddie Griffin next year... who knows. :)

You can go here (http://www.summerproleague.com) for more info.

In the past a few select games would be televised on NBA TV or ESPN (can't remember), but you'd be lucky if it was the Rockets they televise.

Hey great...
I attend Long Beach State U. (aka CSU Long Beach)
So maybe I'll go watch them if they are participating and perhaps write a repot for you guys to read.

Hopefully Griffin and Nachbar participate.

i don't think Eddie can participate, unless there is an age limit. the way I remember it is only 1st and 2nd yr players and anyone who didn't play something like half the games of the previous season.

No. If Nachbar does not excell in the summer leagues this year..for any reason..its a bad sign.

Dude, I heard about your "gang". What do you feed those guys?!

Anyway, even if Nachbar does play well in the summer leagues, I don't think it'll mean much - the competition quite frankly isn't even NBDL material. If you're a Jason Collier fan, that should make you even more worried as he sucked even against this competition. It was truly tragic to watch.

Good point. I'm not sure what the criteria is for NBA players competing. I'm hoping Boki will participate this year.

Some kids just wont listen to fatherly advice..I always told them ...youre too fat..drink Miller Lite....Must be the generation gap???
Jason Collier ..I like him, I just think he needed four more years of college ball.
He should have been red-shirted.

I remember that Kenny Thomas competed in the Rocky Mountain Review a couple of years ago, which would have been his third season. I don't know if the participation rules for the RMR are the same for the SPL. I do know that Eddie is in desperate need of work and needs to go if he is eligible.

July 6 - July 20.

OrangeCounty,CA.,

Hopefully I'll see ya there! :)

Codell,

I'll be going more than likely. I put in vacation time a month or two ago when I saw the dates posted. I just need to buy some plane tickets and book the hotel rooms. Will probably take some vids and pics as well.

rf34,

It was nice finally meeting a bbs scoop legend like you last year. Maybe we can sit at a game and get our hopes up too high about the Rockets again this year?! :)
