Moehler...we picked him up in the offseason. From the Reds, I think.

We either traded Milicki or let him go. Either way he doesn't play for us anymore.

The Astros rotation will start the season in this order:
Oswalt
Miller
Robertson
Moeller
Redding

Regardless of what people might think, I like this lineup...
We may be in for a long season if there isn't some consistency, but I think the bats will offset any bad pitching days/nights...

What is the status of Saarloos? He had an incredible stretch last season, albeit sandwiched between two horrible stretches. Is he no longer in the mix for playing time this season?

Saarloos is currently with New Orleans in AAA. I suspect if a starter goes out for a while, the Astros would probably recall Jared Fernandez first, then Saarloos. If a starter is only apt to miss a start or two, they would probably use Munro to spot start.

Woooohoooo, I get to see Jeriome Robertson's first major league start! I remember he pitched a couple innings last year, but it wasn't a start was it?

Actually, he started a game last season.

Is Jeriome the strangest spelling of Jeremy you have ever seen?

Darn, no edit.... I bet he gets called Jerome like a million times this year, assuming he can last that long. Anyone know anything about him? I heard the Stros were thinking about starting a knuckleballer, is this the guy?

Milwaukee signed him and dumped him in Florida.

The knuckleballer is Jared Fernandez, signed from the Reds. He's been having back problems this spring though.

Yeah, he started the make-up game at Texas on Labor Day and got lit up. I know because I was there. 95 degrees for a 1:00 start. I'm so glad we cover our sporting venues in Houston.

deepellumrocket,
How many games do we get to see usually? I was only up here for the last month of the season, and I occasionally saw them on television.

From what I remember, he got sent down to the minor leagues.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure he was sent down. Bad thing is, he didn't really even get a chance. He only got like 1 or 2 starts.:(

Fernandez is gone. He got sent down, but he had a provision in his contract where he could refuse. He decided to leave.

Not true, Jesus Sanchez decided to leave, but Jared Fernandez accepted his demotion and is with New Orleans.
