BobFinn*, I have a question about the MLB audio pass, if you have it. Do you get your pick of announcers or not? As much as Milo gets to me sometimes, I'd still rather listen to him than anyone else.

Generally, you have a choice of either team's broadcast (providing there is one). At least that's how it's been in the past.

Not sure on that RM95, as I have never subscribed to their audio service. If I remember correctly though, I do recall several people on here complaining that they were not given an option. Whatever audio they had was what you had to listen to.

ok. Looks like we are all screwed again. Baltimore stations refused to pay licensing fee for internet broadcast.

Listening to Yankees-Reds game. Adam Dunn has a grand slam and Matsui just hit a 3-run shot. 7-3 after 3 innings and it just started raining.
I'm siked! My favorite time of year - better than Oct since the hope in your team(s) are alive. We try to head down and see a couple of different teams each year. This one is short since the kids spring break doesn't line up and we had to use a long weekend. This years tickets are for Yankees vs Blue Jays followed by Pirates vs Phillies. I love to watch them play in the smaller stadiums and they seem happier.

Let's all hope the Expos move to Washington DC next summer. Then it's woo hoo for me.
Does anyone else play the USA Today Diamond Challenge.
Fantasy Baseball with a salary cap.
My friend and I have played it for years, back when it was sponsored by the SPorting News.

Pffft. It sucks.
Check out Swirve.com's fantasy baseball, same thing, but you'd be supporting fellow cc.neters. :D

Anyone else having trouble getting Finn*'s link to work? I go to the page and it says to click on the link of the game you want to hear, but none of the game listings are linked for today.

Looks like you can only get previous days games. Better than nothing I suppose. mlb.com has the spring stats so that's not too bad either.

Well, I just realized that I don't need the net broadcast because I live in Houston and 740 is broadcasting it. If anyone wants play by play, I can give it in the chat room right now. I'll be in there.

That link I posted is for Feb. 27th. You can hit refresh or go to the MLB.com home page and then come back in to the audio page to get each days games.
If you miss the game due to work or some other reason, they archive the games so you can listen to them anytime after the game is over.

Links are working great! Good job Finn. Some of the announcers sound like college kids but that's cool with me. It's baseball!

Thanks Phi :) Nothing like listening to Spring Training baseball. Perhaps actually being there might be better, but wouldn't you rather stay up north where the temperature gets up in the low 30's in the daytime and dips to single digits at night?
Seriously, spring baseball is for hopes/dreams that your favorite team will finally put it all together and win the World Series, or your favorite player has a monster year and wins MVP.

Oswalt tagged for a 2-run HR from Aubrey Huff (who? ) in the 1st.

Astros have a tendency to have a subpar season when they have a good preseason...or at least it seems that way. Certainly was the case last year.

Very true Jay. Its been that way as far back as I can remember ( and thats pretty far back)

Wohoo! Astros only 7-5 in Spring Training so far. Smells like the perfect set up for a good year. Not great, but not bad in the preseason versus great in preseason last year, dissapointing in regular season.

Everyone is saying Bagwell's shoulder is healthy and he has his power stroke back (2 HR's this spring) which is good news. I still worry about our starting pitching. After Oswalt and Miller, Reynolds has looked good so far, but will he hold up all season?

We won the Grapfruit League in 1991, and proceeded to go 65-97 that year.

I'm curious to see if Jeriome Robertson is the real deal or not. He doesn't have electric stuff from what I have seen of him, but he continues to have very solid control and is able to get by on what he has. I can really appreciate a player like that, and I think, barring any ridiculously bad outing, that he has won the #5 spot over Timmah Redding and any other would be contenders.
I don't know how Moehler's going to turn out, but if Shane can just pitch decently, I think we could have a pretty solid rotation.

Plus, isn't he left handed? That'd be a plus.
