Ok guys i'm reallly stuck on something here and need all you ladies men to help me ;)
Heres the situation
Ok theres a girl my friend hooked me up with, we met at a party and had a good time. Nothing big, we made out danced the regular.. She told me to call her so i did.. The Following friday we went out and went to a dinner and a movie.. during the movie i wasnt sure if i should try anything so i didnt, but then she pulled the 1st move and then we went from there.. When i dropped her off she gave me a kiss goodnight and we been talking for about 2 weeks since then.. Now i dont even know why she talked to the same friend and said that she likes me but does not want a boyfriend, i dont know if it's too early she doesnt want a b/f or she just doesnt want one. But she said she wants to stay friends and talk still and go out on the weekends and chill..My friend warned me before anything that she is bad with relationships even though she hasnt had alot of b/f's.. She says she feels trapped.. So i ask you guys what to do? Have you been in a situation like this before? Should i keep talking to her and hopefully something happens
Only problem is i dont want to get attached, so everyone throw your advice.. THANK YOU

You are 17...how old is she?
Smallz88
01-08-2003, 03:24 PM
same age.. i know its nothing big but everything has a beggining
Sounds like she wants to have fun and mess around and not be tied down (figuratively........she might very well want to be tied down literally).
Sounds like the perfect girl. What's the problem?

I would say not to push it..if ya like her...keep going out and hanging till she decides that you are the one,or not.
Either way, you get to have some fun..and if you are really lucky..you might have some *real* fun..;)
Don't be in such a hurry to tie yourself down..you are young..take advantage of that and enjoy yourself.

i know what you're all saying,, just like my friends say but like everyone has told me already to try and not get attached and thats the only real thing that worries me
tell her what you told us. if she says she still just wants to be "friends" then tell her ok and then shag.

My take? At age 17, you will be better off worrying about getting down than settling down. People change a lot, typically, up until 25 or so, at least. (Yes, everyone, there are notable and successful examples!)
Either way, she does not sound like someone who wants a serious boyfriend at all. If you feel an irrepressible urge to be a serious boyfriend to somebody, you'll have to forget her. In fact, if that's what you want at age 17, you'll probably have to find a girl who has major issues regarding insecurity. :(

17 yr olds make out with you and say "I don't really want a boyfriend, right now," because they want to do the nasty with you, but want an out in case you are nasty at it. If you're good, you're in for a few months, until you cave and say "I love you," or you run out of money.
Sounds like you can score from here. More than once? is the only question.

Try just having fun for a month or two. If she still doesn't seem interested in "settling down", then you need to have a talk or move on.
RM95's Girl didn't want to have a serious boyfriend either, she just wanted to have fun. So that's what we did...we ended up having so much fun that we've been together for over two years.

don't sweat the small stuff. take it a day at a time, keep dating her with out commitment then if something better comes along take the better of the two. No harm, no foul, afterall she was the one who didn't want a BF.

What she is saying is that she wants to date you. Lot's of people do this. Just date and be open to the fact that you both will see other people. Dating can still lead to boyfriend girlfriend.
Typically I've become boyfriend girlfriend within 2 months, but some people date much longer than that.
If you are not interested in dating, then forget about it. You can end the relationship or you can still be friends without getting atttached. The latter is hard but not impossible. Just think of her as your buddy instead of your conquest.

NEVER get too emotionally attached to a chick in high school. They'll rip your heart out and dissect it in 3rd period A&P.

This thread makes me sad. We have a kid who seems to actually be looking to do the respectable thing and all he gets is a "I think you can score from here" chorus.
For the record, it sounds to me like you can score from here. But, it may not be the best thing for you or for her. She's asking for it, but may regret it later. I've known too many girls that age who didn't even know how to look after their own interests. I know next to nothing about her, but it's a pattern I've seen repeated a number of times.
I don't have any advice for you either way. Just a warning to do things for the right reasons (eggings from old men on a basketball BBS would not fall into that category, btw :p ).

Tonight, casually mention your penis in conversation. Immediately afterwards take both your shoes off, prop them up on the table, drop a spoon on the floor then cackle wildly as your toes flick to the beat.

For the record, my advice came fresh from an internet chat room that I like to hang out at during the afternoon. I posted your question there. So, you see, my advice was not really from an old man on a basketball bbs.

But JV, in these younger generations, girls often learn to masturbate way before age 17.

B-Bob, that's not funny. My sister just told me my 5yr old niece was taught how to do it from her 5yr old best friend. Her friend is an only child from lesbian parents. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
But the friend actually has a name for it: "Come on Olivia, let's biddlebop." OK, now if she got that word from some New Age children's book floating around the self-actualizing world of lesbian parents...then, there's something wrong with that.

LOL!! Well, I doubt that "stroking the beaver" would be applicable to five year olds. :D

I've tried that twice and still no luck. Perhaps my cackle is not the right one. Maybe I don't have the confident look in my eye. Well, if at first you suceed, then stick with that sh!t...

This guy sounds more grown up than me at 17. I'd leave a girl if it meant free beer at this point in my life. Perhaps that's a different issue though. What was I talking about, oh, settling down, what the??? I was once like you my friend and if I could go back in time I'd slap myself in da face, twice.

i say go out with her for a while and then for some minor reason just give up on her, let her think you are still on but ignore her, you know how to do this ;)

Smallz.
it depents on what you want of her. If you want a serious relationship (what i'm after with a girl), you should wait and give her time if she wants it. don't rush. and finfd out if she really want that.
if you just want to have a good time, than just go ahead, and have a good time, and just go out and do stuf. than it doesn't matter she does not want a boyfriend.
i hope htis help a bit

It sounds to me like she wants to be able to have fun with whomever she wants whenever she wants. If you both understand what the relationship will be, enjoy it. I don't know many parents that want their children to get into a serious relationship before they are out of college anyway. I'm not saying to pork her at any and all costs, but I would say to enjoy each others company. Don't get hooked on her if she doesn't want a serious relationship because you will get hurt.
One word of advice...always carry protection.

Lol. Needless to say, that wasn't exactly what I meant. What I am trying to say is that the girl sounds like she is looking for trouble, and she'll have no trouble finding it. Smallz dilemma is whether or not he wants to be part of that trouble. When I was younger, I'd have definitely said yes. Now, having seen what it has done to some, I'd say no.

nah, it wasnt because of you guys.. hah
supposedly one of my friends kept asking her about us (they go to same school) and i guess she got to the point where she was annoyed, but on friday at school she said she wanted to go out.. So i call i ask and her sister is like "christina pick up phone" and then she goes who is it and her sister says its paul and then i hear silence and her sister is like "shes busy and shes in a bad mood".. so she dodged my calls about 4 times.. so i said screw it
