Francis Shafted Again

Steve Francis has missed out another award from the NBA. There must be somekind of conspiracy going on at the NBA front office. This time it was the Defensive Player of the year, which was taken out by Alzono Mourning, with Shaq in second and Mutombo and Eddie Jones tied for third. No only did Francis get shafted by the media and NBA front office by not winning this award, he actually didn't even get one vote, what a joke.

Steve Francis has nice defense but its not great like the other players in the league. He is a rookie and wont get that much attention on the other categories. It's amazing how someone who's REALLY a power forward can get Defensive Player of the Year while guarding the lane. So, if they got Mihm, do you think they'd move Zo over to guard one of the low blocks only.

Neither is Bill Russell
or even Hakeem Olajuwon

Walt Williams could use that trophy, but he is too modest.

Alonzo needs the publicity to boost his ego cuz he is so small, but is forced to play against 7 footers. Guys who are not 7 feet need to at least have big heads.

Walt Williams, what a joke that guy couldn't play D if his life depended on it, hang on that gives me a good idea, maybe next season Rudy could institute the Death or Defense rule, that is each players defensive performance is rated from 1 to 10 after each game and if anyone scores less than a 5, they killed, (hanging, gased, shot, drowned, poisoned) doesn't bother me the method they are killed, just something public that motivates the remaining players to play Defense.
