ben gay played at Spring HS and then went to Baylor, where he was cut. He played with the Browns last year and was cut this year.

His name made him famous in Spring football lore,...too bad he stinks (literally ;) ) at any levels beyond H.S.

I remember when Baylor recruited him. They thought they had landed the best prospect of all time. It's a shame what happened to his career. Baylor did a similar thing to Odell James, a highly touted quarterback who absolutely flopped on the college stage. Memo to top-notch high school athletes: Don't go to Baylor.

Thats exactly what I heard when I was at Baylor. The football players in my classes would always go on and on about how he would just shread the defense(yeam i know its just baylor) I don't think that he came anywhere close to making the grades to play. I dont think he is very old so he may still make it in the NFL if properly motivated.

Actually, I tried to put "Benjamin Gay" on his trading card, but NFL Properties wanted it to say "Ben." Why, I'm not sure. You would think "Benjamin" would sound better...

Dude who do you work for? :)

I went to Spring High with Ben Gay, he was class of 99 I believe, same as my brother. I was C/O 97. He killed the other teams in high school. I hope he can still turn it around. He was on special teams with Cleveland last year, the game I saw him in he actually fumbled. Best of luck!

I thought he was in NYC, not San Antonio.
