Only a 4th inning walk kept Darryl Kile's no-hitter from being the first perfect game in Astros history. The only New York run scored on a wild pitch and subsequent throwing error. Kile endured a tumultuous and controversial seventh inning to hang onto the gem, thanks to brilliant defense from the left-side of the infield. Ken Caminiti snared a sizzling liner off the bat of Eddie Murray and Andujar Cedeno made a phenomenal backhand stop of a Joe Orsulak grounder between third and short and nipped Orsulak at first. Orsulak was ejected during the ensuing argument. Chico Walker struck out on Kile's devastating curve to end the game. "No one on this side of earth could've hit it," said the bewildered Walker. "Luck was on my side tonight," said Kile.
