Pichardo re-retired, Lane called up. Merced's probably out for a week or so.

What a nutcase. This is the 2nd time he's just gone out and randomly retired after a horrid performance. He probably has the highest career Astros ERA (81.00).

Bullpen isn't that bad, comparitively speaking, Dotel and Wagner are starting to come around, and Linebrink, Stone and Puffer, though no great players are certainly serviceable.
BTW, did anyone else think Pichardo bore a resemblance to an old, latin Marlon Brando?

He looks like he might be Indian. If that's the case, he should have done a rain-dance around the mound, maybe that would have helped. I ya ya ya I ya ya ya
right now our bullpen sucks, but wagner is coming on real strong and dotel has increased his velocity. if everyone else improves it has potential to be pretty good.

True conversation:
Friend: "That guy looks like he's 60"
Me: "No way. He's Pichardo. He's one of the young arms that was called up from Triple A. He's good."
