Pick the date you think Bagwell will hit his 1st HR... and win absolutely nothing.

Poor Baggy... the man currently has a .942 OPS, the better part of which is a .519 OBP.

That's frickin' amazing (the OBP, not the OPS, which is still nice). But all people are talking about is what he's not doing.

No one's criticizing, haven.

I say never. He gets hurt for the season next game.

Tell me about it. He's my starting 1B in our office fantasy league...

My guess: Wednesday, April 17th (1st inning off of Haynes)

(Acevedo has been pitching decently well for the Reds.)

Today (so, technically, whenever it's today, I'm right ;))

But seriously, Thursday, April 18.

Those are nice numbers, however, he only has 4 RBI's:eek:

One of the reasons for the Astros poor record.

I think his shoulder is hurting him more than he is letting on.

actually he said the other day his doctor told him he'd be in pain for the first two months or so of the season.

That may be more of a result of the sheer number of walks he has been issues so far, and of Biggio's troubles getting on base early on here.

RBI's (and runs) measure contribution, not performance. It's not a rap on Bagwell that he only has 4, but a function the lack of baserunners in front of him, as well as bad luck.

Using RBI's to measure performance is... silly. It's too dependent of a statistic.

And now Berkman for the second time tonight!

BOOYEAH!

That's back-to-back twice in two innings!

For a second, I thought Lima was pitching for the Reds. Acevedo sucks.
