There were 2 actually.
I think Van still needs to draft a center and try to trade Tiffani Johnson for some guard help.

if seattle drafts Sue Bird as expected,...we need to make a run for Sonja Henning.

Henning and Coquese are too similar. Short and can't shoot.

too similar, i agree. :p go for more height if trading for another point.

Sonja isn't going to give us anything we don't already have. We need to take a chance on a kid even if it isn't a point guard. We have wasted so many picks it's time to add some yutes.
Although someone said my links aren't working, I do have some info about Lobo on my new comets homepage :)
www.cometscourthouse.com
By the way, if the links don't work for you, then you can click on the site map at the bottom and gain access to everything including all the scouting reports on the Draftees, a mock draft, and Our players scouting reports. But I still have to figure out what's going on with those damn links. Over 124 pages of good stuff...uh...I think....

PSJ, very nice site! Like your mock draft thru ten (don't know the rest) though some think Van will take Deanna Jackson if he gets the chance. if he gets Lambert, Cynthia Cooper will be seething because she wanted Lambert but traded away her #8 pick for Gordana Grubin and Tracy Reid in a four team deal.
one little thing, Arcain's first name is Janeth. :)

How about Kelly Komora from Purdue for some help at the point?

You could be onto something. Kelly was Miss Indiana Basketball in highschool and that goes a long way in my book. That alone means she can shoot a high percentage if she's left open. In our offense you know that's going to happen. She will be left open.
I think Kelly could play the point as well as Washington has done, but I don't look at her as a pure point guard. She would add a lot of versatiity to the backcourt. That's a good thing. Arcain is getting old. Eventually she's going to be cuddling up to some books and retiring. So we'll need a replacement at the two. Kelly Komara could replace her and could fill in at point. Her biggest attribute is defense. She's all world at holding down big scorers to rock bottom totals. There aren't a lot of PG's to try and stop in the WNBA, but ya know what, Sue Bird is going to be one of them.
I could live with Kelly Komara as our pick. Good call.
p.s. thanks for the comments and input. I need an editor big time. Luckily, WNBA and ESPN just put up all the stats. I've got to work quickly and transfer that data into my scouting reports. Reliable senior stats are tough to come by.

4 steals per game is impressive in any league. Might bring back some memories of Kim Perrot.
But her perimeter game regressed severely during her career:
41% as a freshman on 3-pointers
35% as a sophomore
33% as a junior
26% as a senior
She does have the double initial thing going for her like SS, CC, and TT.
I wouldn't be too upset if Van took her at #10 but I think post players are more of a priority.

Outlaw, you may be right. All the Seattle mocks have us taking a post player. So somebody is telling them something.
I just can't imagine using a first round pick on a post player when we still need a point guard who can hit an open jumper. Plus Valdemoro and Henderson are far from being reliable enough to count on. I've got to believe that Lobo will be the final front court piece.
There won't be much guard help by the time we draft. Which really bites.
If the plan is to trade Tiffani, who in my opinion has little to no value, then I would draft big, but who's going to want Johnshon? She had one good game against LA, but has otherwise been a big let down. She's got very little to offer anyone. She is a decent free throw shooter tho.
