View Full Version : Christina Aguilera doesn't understood the song 99 Problems
She just kept saying it's disrespectful to women!
B, 99 problems have nothing to do with women. It's metaphor for being weak-minded, a b, basically.

She's been hating on Tony Lucca the whole season. I see this as more of an extension of that than actual criticism of the song.
BTW, I'm a little disappointed in the talent on the Voice this year. There have been some good performances but nobody has been consistent to me and instead of upping the bar, it's more like their best performances have been in the past.

Even when she got on stage and says this is a "real man" refering to chris mann: respectful to women.
I don't think she knows what the song means.
As far as the show, all the judges were taking out fan favorites for some reason.

The judges went for 'unique voices' instead of talent. I quit watching rather early in this season, because the talent just wasn't worth the hour.
What the hell is Joel Osteen doing at the voice?

Christina is an idiot. She has been hating on Lucca but that's not the dumbest thing she has done this year. She had the best singer on her team and eliminated him.

Maybe Christina Aguilera will show the world she's on Whitney Houston's level.

Yeah, that guy definitely could've won and was the only person on her team who could have. I don't know what she was thinking.

Who are you guys talking about? I haven't been watching much of this season because the lack of talent just wasn't as good as last season's.

Tony Lucca, the ex-Mickey Mouse club guy, did a pretty cool version of "99 Problems" and Christina threw a hissy fit because she said it was demeaning to women or something like that.

I mean Christina's ringer, the one she trashed early. I saw her bitch fit and she's been constantly trashing Tony Lucca. I don't think he's that good, though.

What doesn't understand the song 99 problems.
Jay Z was talking about the times when he was in the drug game. Have you listened to the lyrics of the song? Lol. The song tells you exactly what he means. The cops know that they can't search the car and Cop-"We'll see how smart you are when the K9 comes" Jay Z-"I got 99 problems, but a bitch ain't one."
He's talking about the female K9 dog. It's in his book.
” At the time, Jay-Z was slammed for the misogynistic use of the word “bitch” —but, as he reveals in his book, he was actually referring to a female dog, or the dogs that never caught up to him that day. “It would have changed my life if that dog had been a few seconds faster,” he writes.
all of you, turn in your man cards now.
Thank you.
Wtf is this.

I liked his performance. I've heard similar versions of that song before and I really like it done that way. Christina has been particularly tough on him throughout the season, but I think she has also taken it upon herself to be the "tough judge."
I've also heard that she is pretty universally disliked by everyone on the show and I think that shows when the judges interact. Cee Lo, Adam and Blake all seem to give each other crap in a playful manner, but when they go back and forth with Christina, there seems to be a bit more tension.

Oh, Jesse Campbell.
Honestly, Tony was my favorite after the blind auditions but he never re-captured what he had in that first performance. I didn't think he should've been the finalist for Team Adam. That said, I thought he did really well tonight.
My guess is it comes down to the back up singer and opera singer. Not too bad.

I'd put Jermaine as the front runner but think anyone can really win.
Jermaine probably has the most ability and talent. I think he overdoes it. Sometime he lets his emotions get to high and it throws off his breathing which in turn throws off his rhythm. He has a lot of vocal flexibility but loses control when he gets too high. Also, I don't particularly like his runs when combined with his vibrato. I think his best performance was in the battle rounds. I've been disappointed that he hasn't done better since then. A lot of times, I feel he does better in the group performances than he does in his solo performances.
Chris is very solid, but also a bit boring. I wasn't impressed by his Ave Maria though I've like his other stuff. I though his duet with Christina was great.
Juliet is fantastic when she's belting it out but her softer voice kind of sucks. The judges commented about it one week and to her credit she made an adjustment the next week and it was better, but still not that good. She was kind of bad last night but I think Cee Lo mentioned she was sick which really sucks for her to get ill at a time like that. Jamar had a great performance a few weeks ago and for awhile I thought he'd clearly be Cee Lo's finalist. But like a lot of these singers, it was a one time high point that he never reached again.
I already gave my thoughts on Tony. Overall, I thought he might've done the best job last night. I don't know if it'll be enough to win. But iTunes downloads count as votes and I can easily see his "99 Problems" being the top downloaded song from last nights show which gives him a chance.
In the end, I see it:
1. Jermaine
2. Tony
3. Chris
4. Juliet

Said it when the show first started, there really wasn't much talent on it this year. Looks like all the talented singers came out to Idol because IMO they had the voice beat hands down this year. Perhaps the Voice should go back to not challenging Idol and back to the fall start. That way all the singers that had cold feet or whatever and missed out on Idol would just go to the voice instead of them almost pulling from the same talent pool, Idol is likely to win out seeing as so far it has produced some pretty big stars.
I think anyone can win but Im pulling for Juliet. The rest of them are kinda meh to me. They each have their moments but for me Juliet has had more pretty amazing performances. Roxanne and Man's world were pretty epic.
I'm not sure why Christina thought to make some kinda point there.

Why do they need 4 hours this week to pick the winner? Why is Beiber on the show tonight? I'm deleting last night's and canceling tonight's recording.

Juliet simms should have won the voice last night. The last three weeks, she's had the best performances. Unfortunately, she wasn't the best starting out and Jermaine Paul showed consistency which gave him 1st place honors
