I'm in a downloading rut, but I thought it would be a good idea to try and download those CD's that are sold on T.V, (ie. Love songs of the Southwest, jock jams, or whatever') Do you guys remember some of those silly CD names so I could get them off limewire? I'm willing to try just about anything to get some more music....

I don't really recall any of those TV CD titles, but a good site to look up music is allmusic.com. They have just about every album made and you can search by artist, album title, song title, etc.
Also, amazon.com might help you with finding track lstings and reviews.
Good luck.

You know, PSJ, the first step in overcoming your music addiction is to admit you have one :)
Time Life Music always has a bunch of compilations out...

Razor and Tie also distributes compilation albums through Music Space...They put together Awesome 80's and Monsters of Rock, both good discs...

of course, you can always scrap the bottom of the barrel and download some Backstreet Boys or Christina Aguilera

Does anyone have any info on LimeWire?
Like... is it safe? Do they have any spy-ware attached to their program or any crazy stuff like that?
I have a friend going on and on about it and am just not sure...

I like Gnotella the best, it searches all the other share-programs. No spy BS either.

Phi,
Try the "NOWS" . They are advertised on TV but are also sold in most music-related stores. I think there is Now one all the way to Now seven. Most of the music consists of current hits, or the songs that have been very popular. Hope that I was a little help. :)

Limewire is a Gnutella Client.
So is Gnotella.
I use Gnucleus.
All of them are Gnutella clients. It's a peer to peer file sharing service that can host any kind of file, and has no centralization, unlike Napster.
I've used LimeWire, Gnotella, BearShare, Gnucleus, and some others, and Gnucleus is the best.

I definitely agree. I've tried all the ones in Vengeance's post and, in my opinion, Morpheus kicks supreme ass.
