View Full Version : Anyone else using your Ignore List heavily

I don't know about anyone else, but this is hands-down the best feature of the new board. I mean, we have too many threads now, pushing good stuff off the screen. If you set people to Ignore, their thread does not show AT ALL, in the thread list.

sweetness!!!

Man, I'm becoming merciless, too. 3 strikes with bad threads, and you are gone! lol! And no Grandfather clause, either.

No more arguing with bbs noise, cluttering my head.

poof! gone!

This is SOOOO great!

question
How many people do you have on your ignore list?

I have 10, and I'm just getting started!!!

Oh, heads-up. You can't put admins on your ignore list....it doesn't let you. ;)

I only have one person on my ignore list so far...

I don't know why I continue to argue with fans of other teams though.

I think I will start using the ignore more.

So who are the 10 Heypee ... cough it up :)

it's 11 now.

I can't say who, but I will say that DaryleWard and HOOP-T have 2 days to stop reneging the bet, or

*poof*

Who are the most common ignored members? Go ahead.

Are these people on perpetual ban?

If so, you will be screening out somebody who might not have a clue at 20 posts, but is on the ball by #200.

I love ignore. I find new uses for it everyday, from Raptor fans to Drama Queens, it makes my experience at this board so much more pleasant. Only 5 people on my ignore right now, but that list grows daily, it seems.

Thank you Ignore!

Dangit, the feature is not working! Why am I seeing this thread?

(I refuse to read crispee's posts until he becomes ricecrispee)

Actually, I did try out the feature on Raptorsdothenasty, but then one of his posts appeared. Maybe it doesn't work in different windows or on a different PC.

Tell Pete Rose Mobster that ZRB posted. :D

I was saying the exact same thing during our draft chat. The ignore feature is hands-down the best feature on the new bbs software! I only have 2 at the moment. Will be adding a third... and when the season starts, you can bank on ZRB being added. :D

Did you know that you can actually ignore yourself? ZRB, why don't you give it a shot? :D

Admin's aren't allowed to ignore anyone....get to WORK!!! Same with you Mango and newbiehad.

seriously, when you "logout" the bbs doesn't know who you are so it won't use your ignore list. Maybe you came back in, or went to another machine without logging in as Will. Notice how this allows you to pop out of ignore temporarily without editing your list.

btw: I don't recall you being in the bet there Will.

Mango,

You can still follow their progress via quoted text and other responses. lol

heypartner,

I don't have anybody on BBS ignore. I have used it in chat because I am trying to focus on the game and a certain person tends to ruin that with his comments.

Behad,

Do you plan on putting anybody on BBS ignore?

OK, I wasn't in on the bet. In the eternal contest among CC.net members to see which of us can persist in debating the most minute possible question (POLL: Who will wear #41???), I drew my personal line at the Langhi/SF "issue." You guys were like a bunch of Talmudic rabbis parsing every last nuance of the situation. I told my wife how frustrated I was that all the aliases on the board had changed, and when she asked me what the reason was, I had no idea how to begin explaining it.

Anyway, on behalf of all of us who took no part in this silly bet and are suffering the consequences (figuring out who's who), I think the losers who got stuck with Anderson names should be able to switch to Rice names. Verse ought to switch to rice versa, or something like that. And crispee ought to be ricecrispee, though I suppose he and his agent, Dan Fegan, would insist on his right to transfer his existing post count to the new alias.

I have no idea what to do with ricealum.

Will,

a suggestion for a new moniker for involving Rice, Smeg and Achebe.

Thanks

Something tells me that ZRB and RaptorsDynasty are probably neck and neck on the "Most Ignored Users" list.

BTW I don't know if this is possible, but I think it would be awesome if we had an "Ignore Total" in our profiles or by our monikers. The # would be the total amount of members that have us on ignore. I mean I'd love to see how many people have me on ignore, I don't know about anyone else...I doubt it's possible though. :(

Will,

That was a great post. thank you.

BGM,

I, too, would find that option to be interesting.

About ignore...I am currently not ignoring anyone, but that is probably just because I am lazy and do not want to go through the effort of remembering everyone who annoys me.

Additionally, extreme stupidity can sometimes give me a good chuckle, meaning I do not want to rob myself of a side-splitting moment in this peak time of idiocy.

dissecting every last nuance about Griffin as 3 or 4 and Langhi as a starter was going to happen with the bet or not. No??? And DaDakota was going to continue proclaiming Langhi a star, bet or not. Am I wrong? lol

Hey Crisco. Will is right. It is time to switch my name again, as long as Clutch doesn't object.

Actually, I don't really want to put anyone on Ignore...sometimes, the trolls really spice up the BBS, don't you think?

I'm sure Tmo's a good guy, but I really don't care to read about Morris in every thread, especially since I see him as only a 12th man this upcoming season.

Also I just added krosfyah, he fits into the "Posters that start stupid threads" category.

PRM,

You need one more category: "Bet Renegers."

I'd like to see DaryleWard make a sim trade when everyone is ignoring him.....hehe

If he cheats in a bet, how can you make a sim trade with him?

*sigh* I guess I'm alone on this one.

Sorry this took so long to answer Mango....

I did have one person on ignore, but I didn't like that because he started a thread, and the thread disappeared. I wanted to read everyone's attack on his stupidity.

Come game time though, ZRB will be head of the ignore list.

BGM,

krosfyah has gotten better. I would have ignored him for the "stupid threads" thing as well, but his responses to others' threads have improved.

See, I do recognize when newbies are trying to improve!
