We got the last good (if you want to call it good) year out of him TBH. LA took on a bad contract and so did New Orleans.

I loved that squad, but they still lost to the Lakers, and now there are possibly even stronger teams out there in Miami, SA rejuvenated, Boston etc. That team would lose to all these in a 7 game set. Now you can make an argument that that 'All Balls' team with 1 star may beat a team with multiple superstars (Miami, Boston, LA, etc). That would be great to argue.

No contest. This team might have prettier passing, prettier foul-drawing, or .... whatever.. but it has less fire and heart than that team.

Both variations are mediocre...sub in some defense and subtract a ton of offense but still no low post shot blocking and Ron is on a steep decline. If Yao hadn't gone down then Ron would still be here, IMHO, but that contract would be a handicap. Adding Nene helps, probably a playoff team but not a whole lot better.
