Yeah, that was my main concern with Vidro this year. He's a good player, but I think his numbers might decline a little bit. Plus, he's been hurting lately with stiff knees or something.

Still a good player though, and an excellent pick at this point.

How about Charles Johnson and my 13th and 14th picks for (Piazza or Rodriquez).You get a decent catcher and get a slew of solid picks at a critical point in draft....

Also would consider Glaus if deal is even.

How does trading picks work? Do you trade the picks, or make the pick for them, then trade the players?

Is anybody's Sandbox still giving them problems?Mine's not storing my password and hasn't been for the past week or so;also I've got our league home page in my favorites and like 2 out of 3 times when I click on the link to the draft board I get the dreaded "This Page Can Not Be Displayed" page.This isn't just our league either,it's all the Sandbox leagues I'm in,usually I just chalk it up to server problems at Sandbox but like I said it's been at least one week and still no channge.What's the word guys?

Hammonds
Estes
Helling

All the Pitchers I drafted were very average, but each of them is on a contender. I'm counting on their lineups to help them out a little.

Hammonds was drafted out of need more than anything. I have a very average Outfield so far.

Things are shaping up nicely,, but why did I pick three SS drafts when I already have Alex Rodiquez!!!!! Oh, I'm pissed about that one.

1b-edgar martinez - Great hitter who is very consistent. You have no worries about him

2nd-jose vidro- Appears to be the real deal. Got off to a hot start last year and it never ended. Solid selection for when you drafted him.

ss-nomar - What more do you need to say. He's nomar. Luckily I have A-rod.


magglio ordonez - Lots of categories filled, including steals.

freddy garcia - Always gets wins. Don't ask me how, but he wins.

Sure he can. He can just play one of them at the flex infield spot.

By keeping both catchers, he is indirectly hurting every other team (well.. except mine -- I have Kendall http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/wink.gif ) by forcing you all to play a crappy player at the catcher spot.

He is weak at every other position. So in reality, he only hurt himself by drafting 2 catchers in the first 2 rounds. When your catchers are your best point producers, you are in trouble. He has Benitez, Glavine and Sosa and a lot of question marks.

I think a good catcher is worth more than a good 1B, 2B, 3B, SS or OF, else I'd never have drafted Kendall in the second round. If you have a crappy 2B, etc.., you can usually find a half-decent prospect on the waiver wire. If you have a crappy catcher, though, the talent pool is so shallow that you'll probably be stuck with some useless punk.

I consider this to be a smart, wily and a little bit risky move on SSG's part. If I were him, I wouldn't trade Ivan or Piazza unless I was getting substantially more in return. (ie http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif Piazza for Glaus? No way! Piazza for Glaus and Mussina? Sure.

Of course, this is all just my opinion.

You can if you want to, but catchers have the same # of game limits as any other position. They allow you to start two because often, catchers tend to get injured, so you might have trouble utilizing all your games at Catcher if you can only start one.

Flex before I lose on a deal involving him and that means a solid pos. player and a starting pitcher.As for my team being loaded with question marks I'd say no more so than any others.My starting pitchers are solid one through four(don't hate on Williamson either,he will win 15 and be the ace of that staff).Outfield all five outfielders are very good and if Wilson can cut down on his strikeouts and Drew breaks out it could be a great outfield.The corner infield is solid with Casey and Tatis with Palmer there to back either of them up should something happen.Renteria is top ten shortstop.Knoblauch's only concern is in the field and I think he will conquer it.Question marks I've got a few but no more than anyone else and I should contend.Any questions? http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif

Hudson and Garcia are solid picks, providing they stay healthy.

The book is still out on Zito. Once the hitters get to know his stuff, thats when we find out just how good he is.

Ortiz could be a sleeper.

Nen and Percival form a nice bullpen.
