Matchup week 3:
1. Hell Cats (2-0) vs 4. Spoilers (2-0)
6. Stars(0-2) vs 5. Maniacs (0-2)
3. Lost Reindeers (2-0) vs 2. Shadow Smashers (2-0)
7.Rough Necks(0-2) vs 8. Killer-Codfish (0-2)
Some very interesting matchups.
League leader Hell Cats have put up two good scoring rounds and should be favorites vs the depleted Spoilers. Spoilers would have to hope to get up a starting QB until next weeks games or this could be a too hard of a matchup for them right now.
Not much to get from the early output here: Cats leads Spoilers 3-0 with most of the action going down tomorrow. League leader Hell Cats should win this if he can get normal production from his QB and offensive players as he also have a 6 to 5 men advantage going in to the final day.
Stars vs Maniacs I feel is completly open. Stars had good scoring this week, while Maniacs fell through, mainly on part of leaving a 23 fp scorer on the bench. Maniacs should be small favorites due to their depth, but if Stars can keep improving the way they did from week 1 it could go down to the wire.
Stars have contined their improved play and leads this by 19-3. With most points (17) coming from his QB and one man down tomorrow he can only hope to withstand the pressure from Maniacs offensive force. Big points going for Stars is that Maniacs normally good producing QB have already played- and poorly at that too. This game it seems is lost by Maniacs who opted to go without!!! a starter for one of his offensive flex players. Thats 18 points lost if you consider the fact that RB Terry Battle could have filled that slot with his 18.
Another very open match is Lost Reindeers vs Shadow Smashers. Every point in this match could be crucial to earn a win for both teams so management will have a hard time picking their best squad. Lost Reindeers GM have shown a 'talent' for leaving producers on the bench - it is only to hope that it was to save players to top flight matches like these.
Usually high scoring Smashers hold the lead with a 13-7 advantage. This is kinda disappointing for Smashers who have only 3 men stepping up tomorrow. The Reindeers should be able to pull back into this one as they have 5 men going tomorrow, including all of the first tier starting offensive players. The early fear that this match could be decided by players bench seems not to be in effect as of now as no highscorers for any team sits there. The low scoring is due to poor offensive play saturday, with very few TDs being scored. This surely had effect on Smashers whos league leading QB had a negative output.
Rough Necks and Fadeaway will determine who will be dead last next week as the two worst teams so far match up. Ren have been very active on the waivers and with trades to better his squad, and with the improvement from 5 fp in week 1 to 35 in week 2 I hold him as favorite for the win.
With a 6-0 lead after day1 and all but one of his offensive players going tomorrow for 8 total players I belive it is likely that pre favoriteRen takes this home. Of course with only 6pts up it is close but I believe that it would take an enourmous meltdown from Ren and exceptional output from fadeways players if he hopes to pull out a surprising comeback.
