Just got another citation for going 66 on a 50 @ the feeder going 59 south.. This was the exact same location I was pulled over for my first ticket before I went in the municipal court for the deferred adjudication...
So it hasn't been a year and I violated it so I'm hoping my license doesn't get suspended.. I'm hoping I just have to pay fines and my Insurance is gonna Sky Rocket!!! Any of you guys have this happen to you before?

Sometimes you can get a second deferred adjucation - it will be expensive though.

The reason you can get a second deferred adjucation is because the state of Texas loves your money and they write the rules in such a way that they can take as much of your money as possible.

Safety doesn't really factor into the equation.

I don't think deferred disposition lasts a year, you should double check the documents from earlier to see how long you had to go without getting a ticket.

I didn't spend too much time looking, but the Frisco, TX site says it is between 30 and 180 days.

    http://www.ci.frisco.tx.us/departments/municipalcourt/Pages/DeferredDisposition.aspx

Edit: Universal City and Austin have 90 days on their site, I think that's what Houston requires also.

Usually it's about 3 months, just check the original ticket paperwork.

well usually its 90 days from the time you are place on deferred adjudication... if within that time you get another ticket.. basically you got to pay for your 2nd ticket and both of the tickets go on your driving record...

Fight it. If you aren't proven guilty you wont get the ticket. Mark trial by jury. Come into to court day 1 wearing shorts. You'll get it reset, they'll ask you to wear pants next time. Next time you go say you want time to get a lawyer, they'll reset. Just postpone it until you did your time on ticket 1. It'll be a PITA.

I've had deferred adjudication that lasted a year. Don't get a ticket in Sugar Land.

Get a lawyer. They'll keep it off your record, but it'll cost you. (It's the reason I stopped speeding).

More than likely, you'll end up in jail. With that said . . .
