I live about 500 miles from the closest NBA team, so all my coverage has to come from satellites and buying the extra programing.

Having lived in Houston in the past and being a Rocket fan I now follow both the Rockets and Comets, by satellite.

The WNBA pass, like the NBA pass, uses the local feeds to put the programs on the TV. Well since Houston for whatever reason has not been televised this season they are seldom on and then only if the other team is carring the game.

Thought someone might be able to explain to me the reason that a city would elect not to carry on TV the 3 time Championship team when the smaller cities with teams that don't even finish over 500 carry every game.

I want the Rockets and Comets to remain in Houston, but will follow them regardless of where they are. This is sure telling the rest of he country that Houston really don't care if they stay or leave.

the contract that the Rockets/Comets had with the WB network expired at the end of the Rockets regular season. George Palotolos is reportedly working on another big package deal via the houston Chronicle ( see David Barron's columist section at houstonchronicle.com Mr. Barron says that we will get at least six games broadcast before the end of the season, assuming of coarse he can get a deal together in time. this is all i know, check the chronicle archives for more...there has been stuff there since late April and may. have a good one... http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Man, who dropped the ball on this one!!?

With the arena issue pending (!) and the three-time champs going for no. 4 (!!), how in the world could they let the TV contract expire? Not only would they be likely to get higher ratings this year due to the Comets success, but building more fan support for the Comets could really help bolster support for a new arena to keep them in H-town. The Rockets org. missed a big opportunity here.

This really bites.
