I got an opportunity to go to my first Comets game tonight and man was it a blast. I must admit that I am not a huge WNBA fan but I love the game of basketball. The thing that blew me away was the energy of the fans. Rockets fans could learn something from Comets fans.

It was more like a high school or college game than a pro game in terms of atmosphere - exciting and fun.

I even caught one of those t-shirts they throw out during the game! It didn't hurt that the tickets I was given by a friend who couldn't use them (season tickets) were on the FRONT row of the lower prom at mid court!

I've decided to dedicate my next Truth column to the experience. I look forward to my next one!

I watched the game on TV (WNBA league pass, which cost $40 but only shows 7 Comet games). Sorry your first game was such a blow-out, although the Big 3 played great. the Comets were up an apalling 44-13 at halftime for those who missed it. Glad you had a good experience regardless. Maybe others on this site could give it the same chance. If it's good enough for Moochie and Stevie then it should be good enough for the rest of you!

Hehe, I even saw Moochie wearing a Comets jersey at a preseason game! I think it was Thompson's, he seems to have a thing for her. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Let me tell you this... I don't care.

Welcome to the neighborhood Jeff.

It's true - the WNBA is NOT the NBA, but that's not enirely bad. The Comets fans' are the best in the world and it makes the
experience all that much more exciting.

I've been to Comets games and I've been to Rockets games. I even got the chance to attend a Rockets game in Dallas this year. Each game has been a special occasion. But nothing tops the experience of a Comets game in my book. Now my view point may be skewed a bit since the first game I ever got to attend was the first ever WNBA Championship game. ;+) But it doesn't take away from the fact that the Comets' games are fun - the fans are loud & into the game - and EVERYONE (on and off the court) seems to have a good time.

LONG LIVE SPORT! Let's play ball!
