Cooper does deserve that respect but Washington would never go for that deal either given the difference in ages.

Holdsclaw is not that good. She is slow-footed, lacks intensity, and hasn't done anything in the league to warrant the type of attention she's receiving.

[Side Note: If I was Cooper and Holdsclaw bounced the ball off my head, I'd slapped those braces back to Tennessee.]

No no no no no NO!

Besides the fact that the Mystics would not do this deal (they already have a great player in Nikki McCray), and would be a slap in the face on Cooper's behalf, and that I love the girl to death..trading away a fan favorite like that could have an effect on the arena vote. Steve Francis may like this deal, but I sure don't.

Let me tell you this... I don't care.

Holdsclaw's not that good!? Do you have a television set? She's a second year player and is already among the best players in the league. I don't like her attitude and she's a very immature player but you can't deny her talent.

If you could pry Holdsclaw for Coop it would pretty much ensure Comets championships for the next 6-7 years. Swoopes 29 years old, Thompson 25, and Holsclaw at 23 years old... that would be ridiculous. I would trust that Van and company could mold Holdsclaw into a more mature team player

I am a HUGE Coop fan but trading a 37 year old star for a 23 year old budding megastar is a must if someone offers it. You just can't pass something like that up but it would be hard to trade Coop for what she's done for the team.

Having said all that it would NEVER happen unless Holdsclaw forced her way out of Washington.

Wow, Clutch actually reads this forum?
I agree with him though that Washington would never do it, although they aren't nicknamed The Mystakes for nothing.

If I was making the deal with my head, I'd say yes. With my heart, no. It's like saying, would you trade Hakeem for Tim Duncan?

I'd never trade Cooper.
