from my vantage point the moment Cooper turned the corner coming from tunnel under the stands,...her face was full of tears. tease me if you must fella's,... there were tears in my eyes as well looking at the #3 for 10 on the championship banner being brought in by season-ticketholders and then raised to the rafters. having witness Kim Perrot play for two season's and then watch her battle from afar and then today see that she was really not here with us anymore in person was more than myself and many others in close proximety could keep to ourselves. the girls struggled imesencly at first, but pulled themselves together.

janeth struggled at the point, but with only two days before the season opener...i'm sure she will be fine with a few more games under her belt. portland and seattle on wednesday and thursday respectfully should be just what she needs to get readjusted to the plays and offence. tina struggled with her shot...but nothing else! Amaya is looking so much more confident and in control but still got the energy that makes her so much fun to watch, like you don't know what's gonna happen next. Jen and Coquese looked very good and both played excellent "D" as needed. Tammy Jackson, what else can you say, what a warrior! Monica and Tiffiany Johnson struggled with the bigger Venus Lacy in the middle...i thought technicals were gonna be called at one point, but cooler heads prevailed. Coop and Swoopes, well,...Coop and Swoopes nuf said. poor Jawann Kelly-Gibson only got to play the last 18 seconds of the game (trash time) but, her time will come. she got the last shot off in time, but it didn't go in...not that we needed it anyway, but at least everyone got to play. Chakirova is here,...but on the injured list...i think on a wink-wink basis until she learns the system in practices. Tzekova i guess is not gonna show this year...we should be ok...Yolanda Griffiths will probably have a field day with us...but overall we should be alright. the big three should control the rest of the Monarchs and keep them in check...in a playoff series, we'll outlast them i believe http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif

its nice to be 1-0...the entire league is playing catch up already http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif!!!

I also agree that the ceremony was great, putting no.3 for no. 10 on the banner was a nice touch.

Oh, I was crying a little too! That ceremony just showed what a high class organization we have here.

yes, i do have season tickets. i bought them since the first season. i had never watch women's b-ball before. i can't afford Rockets season tickets. i try and make about 8 or 9 Rockets games a years when i can. to be honest, WNBA is cool because i've gotten to know everyone around me and we have a blast at every game. i know its a little different, but i really do enjoy it.
