This new look is not due to nature, it is due to choice he shaved it off. This is not the first time he's done this, but it is only the second time he has during the season.
Here's something I've always been curious about - what the %$#@ is wrong about him using Rogaine???? If you were still a fairly young man and facing premature baldness, wouldn't you want to try to have as much hair on your head as you possibly could? Would you want that horrid little ring of hair that old men have? Wouldn't you do anything to keep - or regrow - your hair? Wouldn't you feel better about yourself, feel more confident? Why is it such a big joke that Karl wants these things, too???? You know, he is human - he faces the same things other men do. What is the big deal?????
Just so you know, I do not like the bald look - the very first time he did it I literally cried. But, I got used to it quickly - it's not like he's any different with or without hair, but he is a little more testy with the media without. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/wink.gif

Jenna I don't think there is anything wrong with using it, I probably may have to think about it someday, because my dad has the ring on top too. Guess that's why I keep my hair so shaort is trying not to notice a bald spot even if it shows up!
But I think the funny thing is him doing commercials for them. It's not quite as bad as Dole using viagra but it's just a situation where Karl took the cash for the endorsement, so he should be able to take some ribbing from it too!

I ask, why would anyone shave only the part of their head that goes bald. I could understand shaving the whole head but not just above the forehead and the top of the head. Just like you said though, he's human , so what, nobody's perfect. If he wasn't such a jackass, people wouldn't even make fun of him. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/wink.gif

Jenna, did someone hit a nerve with you here?? Geeze, calm down. There is nothing wrong with balding, which by the way, Karl is bald! His hairline isn't receeding, it's RETREATING.
With that having been said, there is nothing wrong with poking a little fun at the Mailman.

HOOP-T....
I see you haven't been around here too long, so maybe you don't know much about me. Was a nerve hit? Actually, no. I've been hearing this smack about Karl and Rogaine in every city I've been to in the past 3 years. Hearing it here is nothing new - I expect it here more than I do anywhere else. And to clarify, he is baldING, not simply bald (naturally speaking - he is technically bald since he pulled the razor out). There is still growth up there....

All Rogaine does is add a little peach fuzz. Any bald man should be damn proud of his baldness. It shouldn't bother him if his hair is long or short, thick or thin. I don't make fun of bald folks. My family has very thick hair. My dad is old and still has a full head of hair. Shaving it all off is alright...just as long as you keep it that way (Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Michael Jordan). The one thing that disgusts me is men trying to cover their baldness up.
HOOP-T: LOL! I loved the retreating remark!
It's true. Karl Malone wouldn't get ribbed if he wasn't such an ass. The difference between Malone and Stockton is that Stockton apologizes on any foul play that he didn't mean to do (Steve Smith falling over Stockton and hurting his ankle).

First off, I want to make it clear that I have no problem with bald people. I have close relatives that are bald and a cousin who is already balding at 22!
I may have come off the wrong way and I apologize for that. I was merely try to point out how strange Malone looked, I don't remember him having a naked (for lack of a better word) head. But hey, its always fun to poke fun of Karla! http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif
BTW, The Mailman is one the most recognized and greatest players to play the game, he earns a 8-figure salary, and he is easily one of the most intimidating forces in the NBA. Why does a man of that calibre need a confidence boost? Stand up and be proud of who you are big guy!

Azim,
I hear ya. Who cares if you're going bald? Geez, be happy with life and if you've got the money, who cares? Lotta bald billionaires in this world that have a lot better things to worry about than their chrome dome. I'd rank that up there with women that get "bodily enhancements" : damn pathetic.

Maybe Karl should get a weave.
Can anyone put together a picture of Karl with Hair like Ricky Williams or even better Milli Vanilli?

"Mailman, you grew hair!?!?!"
I love that commercial. He sits in the barber's chair after having used the Rogaine. The barber looks all surprised. Godd stuff!
