I don't see it. Miami had their chance in game 1. Now that the C's defense has picked up, Boston has this series in their hands. It's theirs to lose.

It was their series to lose before it even began and it still is. The Heat on the other hand have nothing to lose. If anything was shown from game 1 it's that the Heat are fully capable of taking this series.
PS. KG is a punk a55 beeeotch and he deserves the suspension.

We've seen how they perform defensively without KG. Winning one in Boston will be big and who knows, even momentum-shifting.
Was the elbow in question the nudge to Qrich that started everything? He connected with a much harder looking elbow to Jermaine in the middle of it all.

losing KG drastically softens their defense. check out the chicago series last year without him.
i think miami can now take game 2 in boston. a series that should've been over in 4 or 5 games for boston can now go 6 or 7.

This isn't the same team as last season. I still think Miami has the same shot at winning game 2 as they did before. I thought this series was expected to last 6 or 7 anyway?

We always say the league is too soft, yet guys like KG bring their character to every game and you guys criticize him for it. There needs to be more tension like this in playoff games. I know I love these type of confrontations. Rather KG than Paul Pierce faking again..

I didn't realize throwing a dirty elbow to a unsuspecting 6-6 guard then running away from said 6-6 guard made someone tough? I thought that made you a punk bi@tch. Best part was seeing Garnett run away and also avoid Haslem at all cost.

Same here, I considered him at one time the best PF next to Tim Duncan. All he needed was that championship to prove that he was the top PF in the league, imo.
Ever since he got that ship, he's turned into this dickhead of a player that talks to much sh** for his own good. Before it was fire, passion, and charisma he was bringing to the game now its just a hole antics and douchebaggedness.
He should have got more than one game.

Garnett's not apologizing for his elbow
POSTED: April 19, 2010
Kevin Garnett doesn't regret his role in a fracas by his opponent's bench. Neither does the player he elbowed in the face.
Garnett paid a bigger price when the NBA suspended him for tomorrow night's second game of Boston's playoff series with Miami. The Heat's Quentin Richardson was fined $25,000.
The pushing and woofing took place with 40 seconds left in the Celtics' 85-76 Game 1 home win Saturday night. Paul Pierce had fallen by the Heat's bench, holding his right shoulder in apparent pain. Garnett leaned over, then held off Richardson, coming from behind, with his left forearm. Moments later, Garnett elbowed Richardson in the face.
"Not at all," Garnett said calmly when asked yesterday if he regretted his actions. "I would hope if I was hurt or if I was down in that position someone would at least give me some space to sort of recover or to gather myself. That's the only thing I was asking for."
Richardson, one of Miami's more emotional players, also shrugged off the idea of regrets.
"Me?" he said. "I didn't do anything regretful. I didn't throw any punches or swing on anybody."
"You've got to understand, both teams are playing for a championship," Pierce said. "There's so much more at stake. It's just like a prize fighter. When you fight for that goal, it's not like the other fights. This has much more meaning."
Also offering an opinion was Chicago center Joakim Noah.
"I'm going to say it: He's a dirty player," Noah said of Garnett. "He's always swinging elbows, man. I'm hurting right now because of an elbow he threw. It's unbelievable. He's a dirty player. It's one thing to be competitive and compete and all that. But don't be a dirty player, man."
"Noah?" Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "Noah's in this series now? Well, I have no comment. If Noah had said that last year [when the Bulls played the Celtics in the playoffs] I would have had a comment, but since he's in Cleveland and dealing with that, I think I'm just going to let him focus on that group right now."

But yes, clearly a punk move. Who reacts to someone approaching him with an elbow to the face. If this guy was any bigger than Q, KG would not have done ****, he only taunts/hits guys much smaller than him, Those trying to make excuses for KG are pathetic. Leebigz is being a troll. Garnett was "pushed out" by the crowd?! He ran like the little biatch that he is. His past incidents affirm this pattern. Throw a 'bow, OK, but act like a man and face your opponent instead of running away after a quick cheap shot.

I think the point where ALL of us can agree upon is that Garnett wasn't putting up a fight to get out of that scrum with the quickness. Some of us thinks that it's him getting a hit and and running away like a bitch and some of us thinks that he got pulled out of the crowd without any resistance because he knew he just f***ed up. Either way, it's still a punk move, though this isn't anywhere near a pussy move like the time he pushed McDyess and proceeded to throw the ball all the while backpeddling away.
