Essentially I don't see a clear cut Franchise player.
Last years draft had 3 franchise players, Brand, Francis, and Odom (which is still to some question).
But, of the player in this years draft, there are about 6 players who have loads of talent but it's essentially a toss up who the best is going to turn out to be?
Does anyone dissagree with this assessment?

i agree vince, there looks to be a few possible superstars, but i dont think there is a shaq or KG out there. Of course, if you recall, neither odom, brand , or francis were called franchise players (and they may or may not be), but they seem to have panned out nicely.

K-Mart could be, IMO,
if he comes back from his injury.
But, sure-fire franchise players?
probly hasnt been one since Duncan, and sincce before thaat? Who knows?

"Last years draft had 3 franchise players, Brand, Francis, and Odom (which is still to some question)."
That's the beauty of the NBA draft ... going in to the draft not a single one of those players was viewed as a "Franchise" type player.
Last 2-3 years they've been proclaiming drafts very "weak" but there are always 5-6 good to great players that come out. As we get closer to the draft we'll have a much better idea who will be top 5.
