Trade update: Usually trades aren't completed or announced during All-Star Weekend so there may not be anything done until at least Monday.
However, the Cavs have intensified trade talks over the past several days and have been making some progress, according to sources.
Several sources have said the Cavs have included the Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons in their conversations, possibly in an attempt to set up three-team deals. The Cavs' major targets are still believed to be forwards Antawn Jamison and Troy Murphy. But they have been having some conversations about shooting guards and the talks with the Pistons could involve Richard Hamilton, who has been made available in recent weeks.

I don't really see anything on that Pistons team that would be intriguing besides Rodney Stuckey, who is redundant with Kyle Lowry and Aaron Brooks at the 1.,,
The rumor mill is hot! 7 more days, yess!
Ehh iffy on Rip. How much longer does his contract run? 2, 3, 4 more years?

I don't think it's a Det/Cavs/Hou 3-way. More likely Det and Hou are options as a third team to get Jamison from the Wiz.

Troy Murphy to Cavs? The little insider on RGM reported that Troy Murphy to Cavs is close to a done deal, and coincidentally Chris Webber said that Cavs are going to make a trade and that this could be the last time you could see that lineup on the court via Kevin McHale? Just a little blurb that I find interesting, hopefully a medium-sized trade would get the gears going for the trade bonanza.

The Cavs wouldn't include Hickson for Jamison, so I doubt they deal him for Rip.

I know this is just a Wild-assed guess, but:
Detroit frees up more cap space, Cleveland gets Hamilton...
As for the Rox, they could do better. This is little better than just letting Tracy expire.

RealGM just takes blurb from everybody else and puts it on their website. Houston Chronicle, ESPN, etc
Brian Windshort(sp?) is the source of this, and he's pretty in tune with anything Cavs.

The cavs and rockets seem to be popping up a lot in rumors, and I know is Mcgrady's contract they are trying to use in conjuntion with another team, but what if they are really after Tmac, and having someone take Ilguskas, then buy him out and the cavs pick him up. If Tmac is somewhat healthy and does put up some decent numbers, how good could the Cavs be? Could they be trying to pull a Morey on us and some other team?

I don't like how everyone is so quick to kill the messenger on these threads. Everyone should really lighten up and just appreciate that people are bringing all the info out there into this forum so we don't have to track it all over the net. This forum has become very bitter lately. Not nearly the same group of posters as this time last year.

The top 7 draft pick looks real sexy. If Morey does a good job of drafting, the new player could be better than Iggy or Butler.

Rockets are a classy organization, don't be surprised if Battier ends up in his hometown of Detroit. For what Battier has done for the organization and the city of Houston, they would want to trade him to his hometown. He has stated in the past that he would like to return and play for Detroit. This probably has nothing to do with Tmac. That's my 2 cents.

Would be nice to see Battier lock down Kobe and Lebron just do what he wants on Artest.

Wojanoanroantganoarski is about as far as legit as you can get to, every single thing he has reported in regards to trades has been false, this is the same guy who said that Varejao was being sent to Miami for Marion last season, and the Cavs said that there was never even a thought of that.
amazing he gets paid for doing that.

Pretty sure the Rockets and Pistons would would be separate teams the Cavs are talking to, not necessarily together in any form of a 3 way. From the Rockets they want the expiring contract of TMAC to net them a Jamison or a Murphy (while the Rockets try to score Butler / Granger?). From the Pistons, they might want Hamilton, but they can do that by themselves, pretty sure Big Z can be traded straight up for Hamilton if the Pistons decide to shed salary.

the ONLY thing he has EVER reported that was true was Yao being out for the season, and guess what, I was posting the same thing on pure speculation when that happened so you don't exactly have to have contract with agents to have known that.
Post one single time where one of his trade rumors have come to fruition, it never has. but it's ok because according to him Lebron will be going to Detroit, and Varejao was being shopped for Marion last season  .

He was also on the money with everything regarding Mcgrady within the last year. I don't keep up with him enough to know what trade rumors have come true, but the reality is that just because a reporter has reported rumors and trade talks does not mean that the trades will happen. Only a small percentage of trades discussed actually go through. He's merely reporting who is being discussed among GM's.

Murphy Brown was a terrible TV show. I think it came on Tuesdays and appealed to hicks on trailer parks. The press would rave about it Monday night. Unless another show that was tnought to be better did not agree to air over the spot but their deadline was always Monday night to make that decision. I'm in Asia so I'm not in the same time as you. Peace.
