I know that I am thinking a little too far ahead here, but is it too farfetched to assume that the only way we can advance past the Lakers and the Nugs would be to utilize our "biggest" mismatch?
The closest any player has gotten to guarding AB was Farmar (and you know what AB has done to him). Denver has a terrific PG in Chauncey, but he would not be a good matchup against Aaron (though i am worried about AB guarding Chauncey and Birdman/Nene patrolling the paint). And the closest thing the Cavs have is "boobie" Gibson (yeah right!)
I can't help to believe that our success is contingent upon Aaron's success; we cannot win w/o him having a good game. Of course, our entire team has to continue the excellent defensive intensity and guard the paint. I'll be the first to admit that that is A LOT to ask for.
However, my question is: given the team's situation, would it be fair to say that AB has to consistently be on top of his game? And if he does so, will he be deserving of the Finals MVP?
Given all this, wouldn't it be fair to say that the Finals MVP would be none other than our undersized, late 1st round, half-season starter, 2nd yr guard? Talk about a feel-good story!
